 one instance in which an STI of a possible explosion in the city was follo=
wed by an IS-KP MIED attack. Therefore, while the above information could n=
ot be verified at the time of writing, the potential impact of such an inci=
dent warrants NGOs' attention.&nbsp;<br /><br />IS-KP affiliates would be t=
he likely perpetrators, which suggests that the VBIED attack would most pro=
bably target places of worship of the Shia community or IEA institutions. I=
n the eight attacks that IS-KP conducted in Mazar-e Sharif since April, six=
 targeted the Shia minority either in public transport or during prayers. T=
he largest attack occurred on 21 April, when a BBIED explosion in the Sae D=
okan mosque led to over 40 casualties. As of May, IS-KP affiliates also con=
ducted two attacks against the IEA, though these were of lower impact, one =
being a MIED explosion and one an SAF attack. Overall, therefore, the risk =
of collateral harm from an explosion will be elevated in the next several d=
ays in particularly crowded areas of PDs inhabited by the Shia community (P=
Ds 10, 4, 9)&nbsp; and in the proximity of Shia mosques.&nbsp;</div>							=
