f Injil District. The outcome of the operation&nbsp; has not been reported.=

e search operation in <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/WJnDVzFqPKDpdeQQ9">Haw=
z-e Karbas</a> area of PD 9 in Herat City.</div>
<br />The previous advisory remains in place.<br /><br /><strong>As of 1800=
 hrs:</strong> IEA forces have started conducting a house search operation =
in <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/nVRE78med8XhiBy58">Maladan</a> area, near=
 Hawz-e Karbas area along the Herat City-Zendeh Jan Main Road.&nbsp;<br /><=
br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGOs are advised to avoid the area and =
reroute movements remains in place.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">If approached by authorities, NGO staff=
 should always be polite, respectful, and cooperative, and inform their man=
agement at earliest convenience when safe to do so. It is recommended that,=
 in case of encounter with IEA officials, the most senior NGO staff members=
 present lead the discussion on the part of the NGO.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">In addition, it is recommended to ask I=
EA forces to present proofs of their identity as IEA members. In the past, =
there have been cases of criminals impersonating IEA forces in order to con=
duct robberies.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGO staff should also be prepared with =
the contact details of both local and provincial IEA authorities who can be=
 called upon for assistance in the event of issues with local IEA members.<=
br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">It is also recommended to inform INSO, =
ACBAR and OCHA of any incident connected to the IEA search operations.</div=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 1300 hrs:</strong> The se=
arch operation in Shahrak Mujahideen has concluded. However, IEA forces hav=
e established temporary checkpoints in the area.<br /><br />IEA forces repo=
rtedly viewed this specific area with suspicion, suspecting residents to be=
 supporters of former Herat Provincial Governor Ismail Khan. The latter had=
 distributed the land to people. In the IEA's perception, this fact increas=
ed the likelihood that residents possessed weapons.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">As of the time of writing, there is no =
report of findings about the search operation.</div>
<br />The previous advisory is lifted.<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 0945 hrs:</strong> At the=
 time and location noted above, GDI members started conducting a house-to-h=
ouse search operation, near the Herat City-Zendeh Jan Main Road. It is repo=
rted that approximately 10 GDI vehicles are deployed in the area. They are =
reported to be searching for weapons.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGOs are advised to avoid the area and =
