he IEA security forces restarted the house-to-house search operations throu=
ghout the city. Furthermore, the security footprint within the city increas=
ed, the IEA manning additional VCPs on most main and secondary roads.<br />=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGOs are advised to avoid non-essential=
 movement trhoughout the city.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">During encounters with the IEA security=
 forces, the NGO staff members are advised to maintain calm, politely answe=
r potential questions the IEA forces might have, and have in their possessi=
on personal and NGO IDs to avoid potential misunderstandings.&nbsp;</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 27 August, 1900 hrs: </st=
rong>The IEA-led search operations ended. Reportedly, the security forces w=
ill restart similar operations on <strong>28</strong><strong>&nbsp;August</=
strong>.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 27 August, 1330 hrs: </st=
rong>The IEA-led search operations were ongoing in all title areas. The sec=
urity forces seized at least 150 assault rifles, an unknown number of handg=
uns and ammunition.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">All roads throughout the city remained =
open to all civilian traffic.<br /><br />The IEA forces maintained a high p=
resence within the city, deploying forces on most of the main and secondary=
 roads thoughout Kunduz City.&nbsp;</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 27 August, 0815 hrs:</str=
ong> At the above time and locations the IEA forces (GDI and police) starte=
d a house-to-house search operation. This came as an effort to reduce the f=
irearms' availability within the civilian population.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGOs are advised to avoid <span style=
=3D"background-color: #f29d12;">non-essential</span> road movement within K=
unduz City.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Should IEA search operation target thei=
r locations, NGO staff members are advised to remain calm and ensure they h=
ave their NGO and national IDs readily available. Furthermore, staff member=
s are advised to be respectful towards the security forces and, within reas=
onable limits, comply with their requests.</div>								</div>
