The Food Security and Agriculture Cluster (FSAC), co-led by FAO and WFP, =
in collaboration with the Assessment Working Group (AWG), will conduct =
the Seasonal Food Security Assessment (SFSA) 2022 with the objective of =
assessing the food security situation across Afghanistan=E2=80=99s 34 =
provinces and 11 largest urban areas and estimating the number, =
location, and characteristics of food insecure households during the =
post-harvest season. This comprehensive and detailed national assessment =
will provide an evidence base required to support not only humanitarian =
planning, including the HRP and HNO, but also provide key insights into =
the longer-term livelihood situation of the most food-insecure =
households in Afghanistan.

In order to monitor the data collection process in as many districts as =
possible in all 34 provinces, FSAC seeks your organization=E2=80=99s =
commitment to support in the monitoring of the data collection process. =
We would like to know whether your agency has physical access and can =
contribute to the monitoring of the assessment (data collection process) =
in the sampled village and district levels in the provinces. Attached is =
a copy of the province and district list where data will be collected - =
you are kindly requested to mark the districts where your organization =
has physical presence and is able to contribute to monitoring of the =
data collection process. Please send us your feedback by COB 23 August =
2022.=20

=20

The data collection is planned to start in the last week of August 2022 =
for about 15 days, and your contribution in the monitoring days will =
vary from 5=E2=80=9310 days depending on the number of partner monitors =
available to FSAC. Once we receive your confirmation, we will advise you =
on the specific clusters/ enumerators/ village, district, and number of =
days your contribution will be required. A half day training will also =
be provided to all monitors on the monitoring process.  Attached is a =
detailed ToR on how the data collection monitoring will be conducted.=20

=20

Please note that FSAC will not cover the cost of monitoring, and =
therefore NNGO=E2=80=99s/INGO/s should be able to mobilize their own =
resources (human and financial) to cover the necessary costs of the =
process in your respective selected geographic locations.=20
