nce, approximately 100 members, in the area and established an additional c=
heckpoint with 10 to 15 IEA members in Pul-e Maadan area of PD 2.<br /><br =

 vicinity of the Governor's Coumpound and the area was surrounded by IEA fo=

refight between the armed men and the IEA forces continued. So far, as a re=
sult of the skirmishes one IEA member and four civilians were wounded.<br /=

ing areas closed to civilian traffic.<br /><br />The telecommunication syst=
ems remained functional.<br /><br />The previous advisory to avoid the titl=
e area remains in place. NGOs are further advised to communicate with trust=
ed interlocutors prior to road movements in PD 2 and avoid unnecesary movem=
ents in neighbouring areas.<br /><br /></div>
