The European Commission is currently hosting a design meeting (19-20 =
July) for the new Financial Intermediary Fund (FIF) for pandemic =
prevention, preparedness and response (PPR). The meeting is held with =
contributing governments and partners to the FIF, including United =
States, European Union, Indonesia, Germany, United Kingdom, Singapore, =
the Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust.

Contributing governments and partners cannot continue to design the =
scope and governance of the FIF alone, civil society, communities and =
low- and middle-income countries, must be involved at every stage of the =
design and governance of the FIF, with an immediate invitation to =
participate in all meetings taking place to operationalise the FIF by =
early September. Without an inclusive structure, the FIF is built to =
fail.=20
