The European Commission is currently hosting a design meeting (19-20 July)
for the new Financial Intermediary Fund (FIF) for pandemic prevention,
preparedness and response (PPR). The meeting is held with contributing
governments and partners to the FIF, including United States, European
Union, Indonesia, Germany, United Kingdom, Singapore, the Gates Foundation
and the Wellcome Trust.

Contributing governments and partners cannot continue to design the scope
and governance of the FIF alone, *civil society, communities and low- and
middle-income countries, must be involved at every stage of the design and
governance of the FIF, with an immediate invitation to participate in all
meetings taking place to operationalise the FIF by early September.* Withou=

an inclusive structure, the FIF is built to fail.
