ortedly sent a reinforcement of 150 to Balkhab District from the Northeaste=
rn Region.<br /><br />IEA forces searched several private residences for we=
apons in Te Khoch area between 25 and 26 June and reportedly acted impolite=
ly with the residents, though without causing any harm thus far. However, t=
he IEA beheaded three captured followers of Rumi Mehdi Mujahid at approxima=

:</strong> The clashes subsided at approximately 2000 hrs but both groups r=
emained in the area and further confrontations are expected.&nbsp;<br /><br=
 />At the time of writing, the IEA remained in control of Balkhab's DAC as =
well as of the Dahana area. Neither the IEA nor Mehdi's forces made any ter=
ritorial progress and the former IEA commander was believed to have retreat=
ed to the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/PN74eUTwKGLxp8mu6">Hosh</a> area. =
However, indications exist that members of Mehdi's group were also present =
in other mountainous villages in the surroundings of the DAC, which is loca=
ted in a valley.<br /><br />Inside Balkhab, the IEA allegedly maintained a =
force of 500 in the DAC and an additional contingent of 200 in the <a href=
=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/HqFxT4xjd94m77MU6">Paitow</a> area on the border wi=
th Balkh Province to control another potential escape route.<br /><br />The=
 latest reports suggest that throughout 25 June, at least 10 IEA members ha=
ve been killed and 15 have been wounded. Similarly, 12 of Mehdi's followers=
 have been killed and 18 wounded.</div>

g> At the time and location above, an armed clash was ongoing as the follow=
ers of former IEA commander Rumi Mehdi Mujahid attacked IEA forces who had =

en heard in the area.<br /><br />It has been reported that many of the memb=
ers of the local Hazara community joined Mehdi's forces, and he was believe=
