> The clashes subsided at approximately 2000 hrs but both groups remained i=
n the area and further confrontations are expected.&nbsp;<br /><br />At the=
 time of writing, the IEA remained in control of Balkhab's DAC as well as o=
f the Dahana area. Neither the IEA nor Mehdi's forces made any territorial =
progress and the former IEA commander was believed to have retreated to the=
 <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/PN74eUTwKGLxp8mu6">Hosh</a> area. However, =
indications exist that members of Mehdi's group were also present in other =
mountainous villages in the surroundings of the DAC, which is located in a =
valley.<br /><br />Inside Balkhab, the IEA allegedly maintained a force of =
500 in the DAC and an additional contingent of 200 in the <a href=3D"https:=
//goo.gl/maps/HqFxT4xjd94m77MU6">Paitow</a> area on the border with Balkh P=
rovince to control another potential escape route.<br /><br />The latest re=
ports suggest that throughout 25 June, at least 10 IEA members have been ki=
lled and 15 have been wounded. Similarly, 12 of Mehdi's followers have been=
 killed and 18 wounded.</div>								</div>
