Dear Colleagues,

The INSO Northeast team invites you to take part in an in-person Security
Roundtable (SRT), to be held in Taloqan City  on Thursday, 16 June 2022,
at 1000 hrs. The meeting will be hosted by Halim Nadim, Safety Advisor
Assistant, in Dari or English as required by attendees.

Those wishing to join the SRT must confirm their attendance via email by
1500 hrs on 15 June. Partners are advised to get details regarding the new
location/ where the SRT is held from Halim Nadim, Safety Advisor Assistant

Only those who confirm their attendance will join the meeting. Parking for
NGO vehicles is NOT available at the location where the SRT is held, so
please arrange to be dropped off and collected after the meeting
concludes.

The duration of the meeting is approximately 1 hour. The main objective of
the roundtable discussion will be to provide our partner NGOs with an
opportunity to share experiences and lessons learned from the operational
environment.

Furthermore, INSO would like to get your input on how we best support you
in this new situation. Aside from the above, INSO will provide an update
on the situation, focused on the recent IEA search operations and impact,
the risk posed by the escalation of force during the disputes over water
sources and land, IEA-enforced restrictions regarding women dresscode and
freedom of movement, and OAG activity in the Northeastern Region.

If you would like INSO to raise any specific issues at the meeting on your
behalf, please let us know in advance. Roundtable meetings are a forum for
sharing information and insights concerning the safety and security
environment in the Northeast Region, and we encourage you to come prepared
to contribute.
