 has been reported along Airport Road in PD 9, with additional armoured veh=
icles and IEA personnel deployed and moving along the road as well as inten=
sified checks of passing vehicles being reportedly conducted. Localised, te=
mporary road closures lasting five to ten minutes in order to facilitate th=
e passing of IEA convoys have also been reported.<br /><br />The heightened=
 posture was reportedly prompted by the arrival of senior Chinese governmen=
t officials at the Airport, as well as the return of senior IEA leaders fro=
m Kandahar.<br /><br />While the Airport remains accessible as of the time =
of writing, significant traffic congestion can be expected along Airport Ro=
ad as well as adjacent secondary roads going towards Wazir Akbar Khan and A=
