Thank you for sharing the cluster confirmation and your interest in the 
Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF).

In order to become eligible as partners, NGOs interested in applying for 
funding under the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF) have to participate in 
the capacity assessment process. The capacity assessment process is 
comprised of two inter-linked steps (Due Diligence and Capacity assessment), 
each with its own review and feedback system to ensure transparency. This is 
one of the four major pillars of the AHF Accountability Framework. Its main 
aim is to ensure that the Humanitarian Financing Unit (HFU) is equipped with 
the necessary information about the capacities of the non-governmental 
partners that have access to the AHF funding.

Before commencing the first step (due diligence) process, you should submit 
the following required documents by email for the organization name 
registration in the online Grant Management System (GMS).

•            NGO Registration Certificate

•            Bank account information (Active USD account)

•            A verified Bank Statement for the USD account (the name of the 
organization in the bank statement and registration certificate must match).

•            Registration form (see attached)

After registering your organization name in the GMS, you will be asked to 
fill out an online due diligence application with uploading additional 
required documents. The online GMS link and further instructions for 
registration will be provided through a following email.

HFU is the managing agent of the AHF, responsible for the daily operations 
of all programmatic and financial processes, on behalf of the Humanitarian 
Coordinator and in cooperation with the Funding Coordination Section (FCS) 
at OCHA New York for ensuring compliance with standardized global policies 
and procedures for Country-based Pooled Funds (CBPFs).

Please note that HFU will conduct the Eligibility Process on a rolling 
process, in the order the application forms are completely filled and 
received.

Just for Afghan Capacity and Knowledge (JACK) is an independent, 
Non-Governmental, Non-Profit, Non-Political and Non-Sectarian Organization 
working in Afghanistan in the areas of Health, Nutrition, Education, 
Emergency and Capacity Building with an aim at improving livelihoods and 
alleviating poverty.

The organization works is registered under the Ministry of Economy with 
registration number, 316 of 28/10/1384 equal to 01, 18, 2006.  The 
organization works in Collaboration with other line Ministries, NGOs, INGOs, 
UN-bodies and donor community. JACK has implementing and strategic 
partnerships with INGOs such as SCI (Save the Children International), 
Johanniter International Assistant and ACTED.

JACK has membership of ACBAR, ANCB (Afghan NGOs Coordination Bureau), AREU 
(Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit) and JACK has active participation 
in AHO (Alliance for Health Organizations).

JACK is the member and has active participation in National Health Cluster, 
National Nutrition Cluster, northeast protection cluster, northeast sub-GBV 
cluster, RHAG (Regional Humanitarian Access Group), National HAG ( National 
Humanitarian Group), ICCT , Regional OCT ( Operation Coordination Team) in 
northeast, HRT (Humanitarian Regional Team) northeast , AHF meetings, 
UN-OCHA northeast COVID-19 coordination meetings, risk-communication 
taskforce for COVID-19 in north east. JACK is the member of advisory board 
of ACBAR in Kunduz. And JACK input and activities are shared in 3Ws and 4Ws 
with clusters on regional level northeast. JACK is Co-lead of health cluster 
in northeast.

Since JACK started activities in Afghanistan approximately 60 projects are 
implemented in different sectors such as health, nutrition, education, 
capacity building, and so on. And currently JACK is implementing the 
following projects in Kunduz province;

1.	Sehatmandi project under BPHS program in whole Kunduz through 75 health 
facilities donates by MoPH/WB
2.	Emergency Lifesaving intervention to prevent COVID-19 among high risk 
population in Kunduz and Khost provinces ( Lead partner is Johanniter and 
Sub-partner is JACK and donor is UN-OCHA AHF fund)
3.	Provision of Lifesaving Trauma Care and psychological first aid services 
to conflict affected population in hard to reach and underserved areas of 
Kunduz province (Donated by UN-OCHA AHF) Johanniter International Assistant 
organization is lead partner and JAC is implementing partner.
4.	  BMZ integrated health and nutrition project partnership with SCI, in 
Kunduz
5.	COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Project 
(Donated by MoPH/WB) in Kunduz Province
6.	The Strengthening and Scaling-up Malaria Prevention and Case Management 
to improve Health Status in Afghanistan ( Malaria Project) in Kunduz.
7.	TSFP (Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program) donated by WFP and JACK is 
implementing in Kunduz focusing on MAM (Moderate Acute Malnutrition).

JACK started Twining Program on November 2019 with ACBAR and SCI is the 
advisory partner and it is going till now and according to the plan the end 
date is November 2020.

For further information JACK will present and provide more details if 
needed.

And now according to our strategic plan and the Eligibility Assessment 
Guidance for partner to register in AHF ,  we want to register  JACK in AHF 
Grant Management System (GMS), and reference to the guidance in first step 
of registration the Organization National Registration Certificate (Annex-I)
