JACK is implementing Sehatmandi projects in Kabul, Parwan and Kunduz =
provinces and also JACK is implementing Health and Nutrition Mobile =
Teams in Farah and Faryab provinces; and JACK is the Co-chair of =
National Humanitarain Access Group and for community engagement we have =
the following approaches ;=20

1.       Health Facilities Health Shura (Council) in each health =
facility there are two health facility health Shura(Council) in each =
health facility (one male and one female health Shura) in each health =
Shura there are 12-25 members ; the members are community elders, =
community influential leaders, religious leaders; and each Shura has one =
in-charge and one deputy . This Shura is the bridge between community =
and health facility; all the problems and constraints which we and =
health facilities are face become solve by these health facilities =
Shura. We have following numbers of health Shura=20

-          Kunduz =E2=80=93 (74 Male and 74 Female) health Shura=20

-          Parwan =E2=80=93 (82 Male and 82 Female) health Shura=20

-          Kabul =E2=80=93(47 Male and 47 Female) health Shura=20

2.       CHWs (Community Health Workers) ; the community health workers =
are in the health posts in each health posts two CHWs are there one male =
and one female. We have 1026 CHWs (Community Health Workers) in Kunduz, =
900 CHWs (Community Health Workers) male and female are in Parwan and =
968 CHWs(Community Health Workers) male and female are in Kabul =
provinces. These CHWs are involved in the community for health =
education, referral and some kind of treatment=20

3.       CHWs Shura(Council) on health post level there is one Health =
Post Shura this is conducting monthly basis and they discuss the health =
facilities problems and the problems which health facility faced in the =
community then they decide for solving of them.=20

4.       FHAGs(Family Health Action Group) there are Family Health =
Action Groups in each provinces of us in each FHAGs there are 10 members =
and they are female; they are provided health education, some kind of =
medicines , referral and solving the problem of health facilities in =
family through awareness raising sessions.=20

5.       Complaint Boxes: In each health facility there is complaint box =
; that the community and beneficiaries shared their complaints and =
weekly basis the relevant supervisors collect all these complaint and =
bring to the office for further action and decisions=20
