As per your instruction, I joined the meeting on 11 AM today.

The agenda was:

*         COVID-19 vaccine explaination

*         COVID-19 vaccine distribution in Afghanistan (GAVI will provide 
vaccine for Afghanistan)

*         Plan on how to deliver Vaccine in government and AOG under 
controlled area.

*         Plan on how to deliver vaccine in white areas

*         Upcoming grants will not be in health cluster, they will be more 
on winterizing and emergencies.

On behalf of JACK Dr Mohammad Hashim Safar Quoted: “JACK is implementing 
BPHS program along with 7 other projects. We are implementing projects from 
different donors like GAVI, AHF, MoPH & UNICEF. In our current projects we 
do not have any problem implementing in City and hard to reach areas. 
However, COVID-19 vaccine is something new and it has to be negotiated with 
AOGs in Higher level and community level. There is no problem in Community 
level if the Doha level is approved. However there are white areas in Kunduz 
province. The nearest area to health facility in those white areas are 25 KM 
and others are more than that. Those areas do not have proper 
transportation, that’s why their visit to Health facility is very difficult. 
Upcoming grants should have plans for those white areas. One of the ways to 
cover them is to deploy MHTs or even establish a health facility based on 
the grant. Now we are talking about vaccination of COIVD in all community 
level, white areas are also one of them and they should not be left out”.

Decision of DAVID: we will sent an invitation on making a plan for those 
white areas and vaccination and NGOs should nominate themselves, then we 
will discuss technically and come up on a point.
