Everybody just a quick update on the support we have been giving HALO.

Unfortunately one of the deminers we evacuated yesterday died from his
wounds overnight, our thoughts are with his family.

Also during the night 4 of the casualties in Pul-I-Kumri hospital
deteriorated  and this morning HALO requested our support to bring them to
Kabul by helicopter. Second Casevac in two days.

This process has just been completed and the helicopter  just landed in
Kabul and the 4 injured men are now on their way to hospital here in
Kabul.

The casevac today was almost perfect the helicopter  was in the air less
than 2 hours after the request for support was made and has returned with
the casualties in less than 5 hours from when I first requested support. A
massive thanks to everybody in UN air ops, UN medical services and DSS who
made this happen. It is a real pleasure to work with professionals like
these. Knowing there is a working casevac system is very reassuring.

Hopefully there will be no more fatalities from this terrible incident.
