hrs:</strong> Road conditions remain poor across Daykundi Province. Previou=
sly indicated main roads in Miramor, Shahristan, and Kiti districts remain =
inaccessible due to heavy snowfall.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">As of the time of writing, main roads l=
eading from Nili to the districts have been cut off for all traffic, along =
with a majority of secondary roads in the countryside. Local officials cont=
inue to conduct road clearance operations along key roads.<br /><br /></div=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Following the extended road closures, i=
ncreased traffic congestion has been reported along main highways leading i=
nto the province, in particular along the Bamyan-Nili Highway. Accommodatio=
n along the road is reportedly overbooked due to unplanned overnight stays =

<p><strong>As of 04 January, 0930 hrs:</strong> As of 03 January, IEA offic=
ials closed down access to multiple key main roads in Daykundi Province due=
 to deteriorating weather and road conditions.</p>
<p>The Nili-Bamyan Highway has been interrupted in two locations, namely in=
 the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/5aZcZoZUa73kzuRk9">Kotal-e Qownaq</a> a=
rea of Miramor District, and in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/DCPwfKEt=
k9VH2m749">Kotal-e Chabalk</a> area of Shahristan District. The Daykundi-Gh=
azni road has been closed down in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/WCMTcR=
cLME5vZqz88">Chahar Sad Khana</a> area of Miramor District. In Kiti Distric=
t, access along the central road connecting Kiti, Khadir, and Kajran distri=
cts has been cut in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/JHQ63W1x4e9uTuwE6">W=
oyeer</a> area.<br /><br />NGOs are advised to review the viability of exis=
ting movement plans through Daykundi Province based on the latest route clo=
sures. Non-essential ground movements along affected main roads should be r=
econsidered.<br /><br />NGOs are further advised to seek to confirm the sta=
tus of both main and secondary roads they intend to use for road movements =
through local intermediaries as close to departure as possible.<br /><br />=
Adequate maintenance should be ensured for all NGO vehicles used in planned=
 movements and the presence of necessary emergency items (e.g. first aid ki=
t, drinking water reserve, spare warm clothing) should be confirmed prior t=
o departure.<br /><br />While travelling along roads affected by snowfall, =
NGO vehicles should travel with reduced speed and full lights in order to m=
aximise visibility. Conducting road movements outside settlements between d=
usk and dawn is strongly discouraged.</p>
