rs:</strong> An armed clash is ongoing with SAF and RPGs in the Khas Kapa a=
nd Pul-e Kalan areas of PD 2, Taloqan City, since 0930 hrs this morning. An=
 ANSF convoy of approximately 50 vehicles left Kunduz City to Warsaj Distri=
ct. OAG members have opened fire on the ANSF convoy in multiple locations o=
n their way along the main road connecting the two provinces. AAF has been =
providing air support to the ANSF convoy. No airstrikes have been reported =
as of the time of writing.<br /><br />One OAG member has been killed and th=
ree others have been wounded. Four civilians have been wounded in the cross=
fire.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 09 August, 1000 hrs:</str=
ong> ANSF and PGM members completed their withdrawal from Taloqan City last=
 night and proceeded to Warsaj District, retaking the DAC area&mdash;which =
was under OAG control since early July&mdash;at around midnight. OAG member=
s withdrew from Warsaj DAC without any confrontation.<br /><br />OAG member=
s ambushed the pro-government troops when leaving the provincial capital in=
 the Pul-e Gaw Mali, Ahan Dara, and Khetayan areas of PD 1, and in Farkhar =
DAC. Heavy casualties were reported from both sides, however, figures remai=
n unknown as of the time of writing. Six civilians were wounded in the cros=
sfire.<br /><br />AAF was monitoring the security situation in Taloqan City=
 in the evening yesterday and at night. IMF were also reportedly flying acr=
oss the city last night.<br /><br />The Taloqan-Kunduz and Taloqan-Fayzabad=
 roads remain open to traffic. The risk of collateral damage if travelling =
through these routes is still assessed to be high.<br /><br />The previous =
advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 08 August, 1845 hrs:</str=
ong> OAG members took control of most areas of Taloqan City at around 1800 =
hrs today, following the withdrawal of ANSF and PGM members, reportedly, to=
wards Farkhar District.<br /><br />At approximately 1730 hrs today, an arme=
d clash erupted in the Pul-e Gaw Mali area of PD 1 when OAG members ambushe=
d pro-government troops leaving the city and is ongoing.<br /><br />The pre=
vious advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 08 August, 1715 hrs:</str=
ong> An armed clash is ongoing between ANSF/PGM and OAG members with SAF an=
d RPGs in the Pul-e Kalan area of PD 2. Warring parties are also firing IDF=
 towards different locations, with no further details about the impact avai=
lable as of the time of writing.<br /><br />Since the previous update, OAG =
members have taken control of multiple areas in PD 1, PD 2, and PD 3 follow=
ing the withdrawal of ANSF and PGM members. In PD 1, opposition groups took=
 control of the Pul-e Gaw Mali, Chahar Sarak-e Haji Zarif, Pul-e Shahid, Pu=
l-e Shahrwan, Sarak-e Chahar Chaman, and Shafakhana areas. In PD 2, the Sha=
hr-e Kohna area, including the prison, fell to OAG members, with some priso=
ners being then released. Lastly, most areas of PD 3, including the Sarak-e=
 7 area, are under OAG control.<br /><br />AAF is monitoring the security s=
ituation in Taloqan District by air and have struck a number of OAG positio=
ns since last night.<br /><br />Local elders are reportedly mediating betwe=
en both parties to the conflict, attempting to make pro-government forces s=
urrender to avoid further violence.<br /><br />The previous advisory remain=
s in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 07 August, 1915 hrs:</str=
ong> An armed clash is ongoing between ANSF/PGM and OAG members, with SAF a=
nd RPGs, in the Khas Kapa area. Warring parties are also sporadically excha=
nging fire in the Baghak, Hamam-e Zanana, and Sarak-e 7 areas of PD 3.<br /=
><br />In the afternoon and evening hours of 05 July, OAG members attacked =
and overran an ANSF/PGM outpost in the Hamam-e Zanana area, and attacked tw=
o other ANSF/PGM positions in the Char Raha-e Haji Zareef area of PD 1 and =
the Danish Ga-e area of PD 2. As a result, two ANP members were killed and =
two more were wounded, three PGM members were wounded, and five OAG members=
 were killed and four others were wounded. One civilian was wounded in the =
crossfire. Opposition groups also fired at least 13 mortar rounds towards t=
he Provincial Governor (PG) compound and ANSF/PGM positions in the Kocha-e =
Kabul Bank area of PD 2, and the Kocha-e Wilayat, Kocha-e Wakil Tora, Kocha=
-e Boniyad Ahmad Shah Masoud, and Kocha-e Ameyat-e Mili areas of PD 4. At l=
east one mortar round impacted in the PG compound, wounding three civilians=
, and another one on the NDS compound, killing one NDS member. Five civilia=
ns were also wounded due to the impact of IDF in the area.<br /><br />At ar=
ound 1600 hrs yesterday, the armed opposition attacked ANP and PGM outposts=
 in the Proja-e Sharqi area of PD 1 and the Sarak-e Hafte-e Shahidi area of=
 PD 3. Three ANP members were wounded and seven OAG members were killed. Fo=
ur civilians were wounded in the crossfire. In addition, OAG members fired =
at least two mortar rounds towards the Big Abad and Sarak-e Haft-e Saray-e =
Sang areas of PD 3. Civilian casualties were reported, however, figures rem=
ain unknown as of the time of writing. Furthermore, AAF conducted at least =
two airstrikes targeting OAG positions in the Ahan Dara area of PD 1 and th=
e Nahr-e Chaman area of PD 4. Four OAG members were killed.<br /><br />Last=
ly, at approximately 0400 hrs today, opposition groups fired an unconfirmed=
 number of mortar rounds from the Abdal area to the Bashir Abad area of PD =
3. The IDF impact remains unclear.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains=
 in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 05 August, 1430 hrs:</str=
ong> Heavy armed clashes are ongoing between ANSF/PGM and OAG members in th=
e Gow Mali area of PD 1 and the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/7izZPBW8PFbk=
zRpNA">Baghak</a> area of PD 3 with SAF and RPGs. Warring parties are also =
sporadically exchanging fire in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/WBGWouUt=
Phj2ZLrS8">Naqelan</a> and <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/dJXJrMjYfuYNGr6M6=
">Proja-e Sharqi</a> areas of PD 1. Both sides have been reportedly firing =
IDF towards multiple locations.<br /><br />AAF is monitoring the security s=
ituation by air and, at around 1230 hrs, conducted at least two airstrikes =
in the Nahr-e Chaman area of PD 4 and the Bolak Urtabuz area of PD 1.<br />=
<br />At approximately 1600 hrs yesterday, OAG members overran ANSF/PGM out=
posts in Naqelan and <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/oaibqxEc76BJGh1CA">Loga=
ri Ha</a>, in PD 1. ANSF/PGM members withdrew after an armed clash with SAF=
 and RPGs. Two OAG members were killed and two more were wounded.<br /><br =
/>Last night, opposition groups overran further ANSF/PGM positions in PD 1 =
and PD 3. Before withdrawing, ANSF/PGM members had initially responded to O=
AG attacks in the Kocha-e Kalafgani Ha area of PD 1, and the Baghak and Abd=
al areas of PD 3. As a result of the firefight, one PGM member was killed a=
nd five OAG members were wounded.<br /><br />OAG members attacked other ANS=
F/PGM positions last night. In PD 1, the armed opposition attacked pro-gove=
rnment forces in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/QH2Y4z5X4XomjnEn9">Tank=
-e Tile-e Kristal</a> and Proja-e Sharqi areas. OAG attacks were also repor=
ted in the Pul-e Kalan area of PD 2, Salakhi Qeshlaq area of PD 3, and the =
Pul-e Marshall Fahim area of PD 4. In total, one ANP member was wounded, an=
d two OAG members were killed and three more were wounded. Six civilians we=
re wounded in the crossfire.<br /><br />The Taloqan-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak=
, and Taloqan-Fayzabad roads remain open to traffic. The risk of collateral=
 damage if travelling through these routes is still assessed to be high.<br=

ong> No armed clash is ongoing in Taloqan District as of the time of writin=
g.<br /><br />Further armed clashes were reported in PD 1 and PD 3 yesterda=
y. At around 1000 hrs, OAG members attacked an ANP/PGM outpost in the Qara =
Parchaw area of PD 3 using SAF and RPGs. Following an armed clash, the pro-=
government forces withdrew and OAG members took control of the area. Two AN=
P members and two PGM members were killed and two other ANP members were wo=
unded. AAF conducted at least two airstriked targeting OAG positions in the=
 area, killing four OAG members.<br /><br />Last night, at approximately 20=
00 hrs, opposition groups attacked ANP members in the Bolak Urtaboz area of=
 PD 1. ANP members initially returned fire, withdrawing shortly after and a=
llowing OAG members to take control of the area. One ANP member was killed.=
<br /><br />In adition, at around 2030 hrs last night, an estimated 300 peo=
ple, including civil society activists, gathered to demand reduction in vio=
lence.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 03 August, 1330 hrs:</str=
ong> A heavy armed clash is ongoing between ANSF/PGM and OAG members in the=
 <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/eRfkW39PjV3pPeGVA">Qarya-e Mullah Noor Moha=
mmad</a> area of PD 3. Warring parties are also sporadically exchanging fir=
e in the Pul-e Marshall Fahim area of PD 4 and the Gunjali Big area of PD 1=
 as of the time of writing.<br /><br />In the morning of 01 August, further=
 armed clashes occurred in PD 1 and PD 3. OAG members attacked ANSF/PGM pos=
itions in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/1NC6nfBRoWVjdwHC8">Post Khor</=
a> area of PD 1 and the Qarya-e Mullah Noor Mohammad area using SAF and RPG=
s, with pro-government forces returning fire. In the Qarya-e Mullah Noor Mo=
hammad area, ANSF/PGM members subsequently withdrew and opposition groups t=
ook control of the area. In total, three ANSF members and five PGM members =
were killed, and five ANSF members and three PGM members were wounded. Ten =
OAG members were killed and another seven were wounded. Two civilians were =
wounded in the crossfire in the Qarya-e Mullah Noor Mohammad area.<br /><br=
 />Yesterday, in the evening hours, the armed opposition attacked ANSF/PGM =
outposts in the Gunjali Big and Pul-e Marshall Fahim areas. No casualties w=
ere reported from the latter, while the armed clash in the Gunjali Big area=
 left two PGM members and two OAG members killed. The pro-government troops=
 withdrew from Gunjali Big, with OAG members then taking control of the are=
a.<br /><br />The Taloqan-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak, and Taloqan-Fayzabad roa=
ds remain open to traffic. The risk of collateral damage if travelling thro=
ugh these routes is still assessed to be high.<br /><br />The previous advi=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 01 August, 1315 hrs: </st=
rong>ANSF/PGM and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in t=
he Chob Bar and Khetayan areas of PD 1, and in the Qara Parchaw and Saray-e=
 Sang areas of PD 3.<br /><br />Over the past few days, heavy armed clashes=
 have taken place in multiple areas of PD 1, PD 2, PD 3, and PD 4, with SAF=
 and RPGs, mostly at night-time.<br /><br />On 29 July, in PD 3, OAG member=
s attacked ANP and PGM positions in the Qara Parchaw and <a href=3D"https:/=
/goo.gl/maps/ukg6JYjjmUdWqPTw6">Salakhi Qeshlaq</a> areas at around 1700 hr=
s, and in the Pul-e Marshall Fahim area at 2100 hrs. As a result, one ANP m=
ember and two PGM members were wounded, and four OAG members were killed an=
d two more were wounded. Two civilians were wounded in the crossfire. At ni=
ght-time, opposition groups attacked ANSF/PGM outposts in the Pul-e Kalan a=
rea of PD 2 and the Chob Bar area of PD 1. Two PGM members were wounded and=
 three OAG members were killed and another two were wounded. ANSF fired at =
least one artillery round from the Taloqan airfield towards OAG positions i=
n the Nahr-e Chaman area of PD 4, killing one OAG member and wounding two m=
ore.<br /><br />On 30 July, at approximately 1400 hrs, an estimated 100-150=
 ANSF/PGM members launched an operation in the Chob Bar, Ahan Dara, and Khe=
tayan areas, with OAG members withdrawing after a brief firefight. Two PGM =
members were killed and one more was wounded, while nine OAG members were k=
illed, six others were wounded, and four were arrested. One civilian was wo=
unded in the crossfire. Hours later, armed clashes were reported in the Pul=
-e Kalan and Kart-e Akbar Khan areas of PD 2, the Qara Parchaw and Salakhi =
Qeshlaq areas of PD 3, and the Pul-e Marshall and Band-e Shahrawan areas of=
 PD 4. In total, four PGM members were killed, and five ANSF members and se=
ven PGM members were wounded. Seven OAG members were killed and nine more w=
ere wounded. Three civilians were wounded in the crossfire. ANSF fired at l=
east two artillery rounds towards OAG positions in the Nahr-e Chaman area, =
wounding two OAG members.<br /><br />Yesterday, at around 1000 hrs, opposit=
ion groups attacked pro-government forces in the Qara Parchaw and Salakhi a=
reas of PD 3. One PGM member was killed and another two were wounded, and s=
ix OAG members were killed. Three civilians were wounded in the crossfire. =
In addition, ANSF withdrew from the Pul-e Ahan Dara area of PD 1 and the Ba=
ndar-e Shah Rawan area of PD 4, with OAG members subsequently taking contro=
l of the area. Last night, OAG members attacked ANSF/PGM members in the Qar=
a Parchaw area. The armed clash resulted in three OAG members wounded. ANSF=
 fired at least three artillery rounds from the Taloqan airfield towards th=
e OAG positions, killing one OAG member and wounding two others.<br /><br /=

oday, an estimated 150-200 ANSF/PGM members launched an operation targeting=
 OAG positions in the area.<br /><br />Yesterday, at approximately 2000 hrs=
, OAG members attacked an ANSF outpost located in the Qara Parchaw area of =
PD 3 with SAF and RPGs. Government forces returned fire and wounded one OAG=
 member. Roughly one hour later, opposition groups attacked ANSF members in=

mbers.<br /><br />In PD 3, on 16 July, OAG members attacked an ANSF positio=
n in the Qazaaq area. ANSF returned fire, killing four OAG members and woun=
ding another three. In addition, AAF conducted at least one airstrike in th=

killing five OAG members. The next day, opposition groups attacked ANSF out=

ahr-e Chaman</a> area with SAF and RPGs. ANSF returned fire, with AAF condu=
cting at least two airstrikes. Shortly after, OAG members attacked an ANP p=
osition, forcing government forces to withdraw. Four ANSF members, includin=
g the Takhar Provincial Chief of Police (PCOP), were wounded. Nine OAG memb=
ers were killed and 14 more were wounded. Two civilians were killed and thr=
ee others were wounded in the crossfire. In the evening during the same day=
, ANSF/PGM members launched an operation, retaking the area. One PGM member=
