rs:</strong> ANSF/PGM and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and R=
PGs in the Khak Kani of PD 1, the Charm Gari area of PD 2, the Sesad Family=
 area of PD 3, and the Tepa Murch area of PD 4.<br /><br />Early in the mor=
ning today, at around 0500 hrs, an estimated 200 ANSF and PGM members launc=
hed an operation targeting OAG positions in the Khak Kani area. OAG members=
 engaged the ANSF/PGM operation team with SAF and RPGs. As a result, one AN=
SF member has been wounded. One RPG round impacted on a private residence, =
partially damaging the building and wounding one civilian. When the ANSF/PG=
M members attempted to advance into the Khak Kani area, an IED emplaced alo=
ng the Kunduz-Chahardara Road detonated, partially damaging one ANSF pick-u=
p truck.<br /><br />Last night, OAG members attacked an ANSF checkpoint in =
the Tepa Murch area and a PGM position in the Kart-e Fayzabad area of PD 4.=
 Pro-government forces returned fire and two civilians were wounded in the =
crossfire. Furthermore, at around 1800 hrs yesterday, an IED emplaced along=
 a secondary road in the proximity of the General Abdul Raziq square, in th=
e Sar-e Dawra area of PD 4, detonated when an ANSF pick-up truck was passin=
g. The ANSF vehicle was partially damaged and one civilian was wounded. At =
around 2100 hrs, an estimated 150-200 people gathered in support of ANSF an=
d reduction in violence for roughly half an hour in the same location.<br /=
><br />Electricity remains unavailable in most parts of PD 1, PD 2, PD 3, a=
nd PD 4.<br /><br />The Kunduz-Mazar-e Sharif (via Chahardara) Road has bee=
n closed to civilian traffic. The Kunduz-Pul-e Khumri, Kunduz-Taloqan, and =
Kunduz-Emam Saheb roads remain open to traffic, with the risk of collateral=
 damage if travelling through these routes assessed to be high.</div>						=

rs:</strong>&nbsp;ANSF/PGM and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF =
and RPGs in the Chella Mazar area of PD 4 and the Bandar-e Emam Saheb area =
of PD 2.<br /><br />Yesterday, OAG members attacked an ANSF outpost in the =
Kut-e Gurd area of PD 3 at around 1900 hrs and other ANSF members in the Ch=
arm Gari area of PD 2 at 2200 hrs. In the second incident, power cables wer=
e destroyed in the crossfire. Since last night, electricity is unavailable =
in Kunduz City.<br /><br />Furthermore, at approximately 2300 hrs last nigh=
t, ANSF members fired artillery rounds from the airport plateau towards OAG=
 positions in the Sesad Family area of PD 3. Casualties have been reported,=
 however, figures remain unknown as of the time of writing.<br /><br />The =
previous advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 03 August, 1100 hrs: </st=
rong>ANSF/PGM and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF in the Tepa M=
urch area of PD 4. Last night, the two sides were sporadically firing SAF a=
nd RPGs in Tepa Murch and the Chella Mazar area, also in PD 4.<br /><br />I=
n the morning yesterday, at around 0800 hrs, ANSF fired at least two artill=
ery rounds from the airport plateau towards OAG positions in the Sesad Fami=
ly area of PD 3. Subsequently, OAG members shot and killed one ANA soldier =
positioned at an outpost in the Tepa Murch area using a sniper rifle from a=
 distance and ANSF responded with further IDF towards the area. At least on=
e artillery round impacted on a private residence in Tepa Murch, partially =
damaging it and wounding two civilians.<br /><br />At approximately 2300 hr=
s on 01 August, opposition groups used a sniper rifle to kill one NDS-admin=
istered PGM member in the Sesad Family area.<br /><br />The Kunduz-Pul-e Kh=
umri, Kunduz-Taloqan, Kunduz-Emam Saheb, and Kunduz-Mazar-e Sharif (via Cha=
hardara District) roads remain open to traffic. The risk of collateral dama=
ge if travelling through these routes is still assessed to be high.<br /><b=
r />The previous advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 01 August, 1530 hrs:</str=
ong> ANSF/PGM and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in t=
he Sesad Family area of PD 3, and the Chella Mazar and Tepa Murch areas of =
PD 4.<br /><br />In the morning yesterday, using SAF and RPGs, OAG members =
attacked ANSF outposts in the Tepa Murch and Chella Mazar areas of PD 4. In=
 total, one ANSF member was killed and another one was wounded. Three OAG m=
embers were killed and another three were wounded. Three civilians were wou=
nded in the crossfire.<br /><br />On 30 July, at approximately 2300 hrs, op=
position groups attacked a joint ANA/ANP outpost in the <a href=3D"https://=
goo.gl/maps/Mbe7iUkZTvEHV9Yt9">Bolak Kawol</a> area of PD 4 and, roughly fo=
ur hours later, an ANSF checkpoint in the Sesad Family area of PD 3. One AN=
A member was killed and another one was wounded. Three OAG members were kil=
led and six more were wounded. Two civilians were wounded in the crossfire.=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 29 July, 1015 hrs: </stro=
ng>At approximately 1430 hrs on 28 July, ANSF personnel fired at least four=
 mortar rounds from the Bala Hesar area towards OAG positions. At least one=
 mortar round impacted in close proximity to the Kunduz Brishna power direc=
torate building, partially damaging it.<br /><br />At approximately 0300 hr=
s on 29 July, OAG members attacked an ANSF checkpoint in the Sesad Family a=
rea of PD 3, wounding one ANSF member.<br /><br />The previous advisory rem=
ains in place.</div>
<br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 28 July, 0930 hrs:</stron=
g> No armed clash is ongoing in Kunduz City or in surrounding areas as of t=
he time of writing.<br /><br />Last night, however, ANSF/PGM and OAG member=
s were engaged in heavy armed clashes, using SAF and RPGs, in the Sedarak a=
rea of PD 1 and the Numarat-e Sayaaf area of the newly established PD 8. In=
 the latter, two ANSF members were killed, and three OAG members were kille=
d and two more wounded.<br /><br />Furthermore, at approximately 1900 hrs y=
esterday, OAG members targeted an NDS outpost located in the <a href=3D"htt=
ps://goo.gl/maps/onT1fnrxmjHmhGqV6">Koch-e Amniyat</a> area of PD 4, in the=
 proximity of the municipality compound, with two IEDs dropped from commerc=
ial drones. The outpost was partially damaged due to the blast.<br /><br />=
As a result of an armed clash in the Kandak-e Enayat area of PD 2 on 25 Jul=
y, two PGM members were killed. In addition, due to the damage of power cab=
les in the Bandar-e Emam Saheb area of PD 2, electricity has been unavailab=
le in some parts of PD 1 and PD 3 over the past few days.<br /><br />The Ku=
nduz-Pul-e Khumri, Kunduz-Taloqan, Kunduz-Emam Saheb, and Kunduz-Mazar-e Sh=
arif (via Chahardara District) roads are open to traffic, however, the risk=
 of collateral damage if travelling through these routes is assessed to be =
high.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in effect.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 25 July, 1330 hrs:</stron=
g> ANSF and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in the Chu=
hel Dokhtaran area of PD 3 and the Chella Mazar area, along the Kunduz-Talo=
qan Road. Heavy fighting was reported in the Sedarak area of PD 1 and the Q=
ahwa Khana and Maidan-e Pakhta areas of PD 3. In the Maidan-e Pakhta area, =
one ANP member and one PGM member were wounded, and four OAG members were k=
illed and three more were wounded. Two civilians were killed and three othe=
rs were wounded in the crossfire.<br /><br />On 23 July, at around 1700 hrs=
, OAG members ambushed two ANSF Humvee-type vehicles in the Kandak-e Enayat=
 area with SAF and RPGs, partially damaging them. ANSF returned fire and a =
brief armed clash took place. Roughly two hours later, opposition groups at=
tacked multiple outposts in PD 3, particularly in the <a href=3D"https://go=
o.gl/maps/pxA3GyRVSQPwosPv5">Sarak-e Kala Pazi</a>, Tepa Chuhel Dokhtarn, a=
nd <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/x2EDw54GsvVnhYm69">Koch-e Qabrostan</a> a=
reas. Two ANSF members were wounded, while six OAG members were killed and =
another four were wounded.<br /><br />As has been the case over the past we=
eks, conflict activity is expected to continue in suburbs and surrounding a=
reas of Kunduz City at night-time. In this sense, the Ministry of Interior =
announced, yesterday, that a curfew had been imposed in 31 provinces across=
 the country, including Kunduz, from 2200 to 0400 hrs.<br /><br />The Kundu=
z-Pul-e Khumri, Kunduz-Taloqan, Kunduz-Emam Saheb, and Kunduz-Mazar-e Shari=
f (via Chahardara District) roads are open to traffic, however, the risk of=
 collateral damage if travelling through these routes is assessed to be hig=
h.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 23 July, 1045 hrs:</stron=
g> ANSF and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in the Che=
lla Mazar area.<br /><br />Last night, at around 0030 hrs, an estimated 150=
 ANSF members (ANA and ANP) conducted an operation targeting OAG members in=
 the Sarak-e Naw and Bala Hesar areas of PD 2 and in the Tepa Murch area of=
 PD 4. Opposition groups initially engaged the government forces, with seve=
n OAG members killed. While some OAG members reportedly withdrew in the ear=
ly morning hours, others are likely still present in the area. The ANSF ope=
ration team members remain positioned in the area.<br /><br />The Kunduz-Pu=
l-e Khumri, Kunduz-Taloqan, Kunduz-Emam Saheb, and Kunduz-Mazar-e Sharif (v=
ia Chahardara District) roads are open to traffic, however, the risk of col=
lateral damage if travelling through these routes is assessed to be high.<b=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 18 July, 1030 hrs:</stron=
g> ANSF and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in the Tep=
a Murch and Rajaki Ha areas of PD 4.<br /><br />Opposition groups remain po=
sitioned in some of the suburbs of Kunduz City, including in private compou=
nds. OAG members are reportedly present in the Bagh-e Zirat, Zakhail, and A=
li Khail areas of PD 1, the Meskin Abad, Kaleh Gav, Nawabad, and Bala Hisar=
 areas of PD 2, and the Maidan Pakhta, Qaraual Tappeh, and Zakhil Qadeem ar=
eas of PD 3.<br /><br />On 16 July, at around 2000 hrs, OAG members shot PG=
M members in the Kart-e Fayzabad area of PD 4 using a sniper rifle from a d=
istance. One PGM member was killed and another one was wounded.<br /><br />=
On the same night, at approximately 2200 hrs, ANSF fired at least three art=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 15 July, 1415 hrs:</stron=
g> ANSF and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in the Mos=
kin Abad and Sakrak-e Naw areas of PD 2. Last night, heavy fighting was rep=
orted from both areas.<br /><br />On 13 July, at around 1500 hrs, an RPG ro=
und reportedly impacted in the proximity of the Istiklal Park, in the <a hr=
ef=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/9difPFGPdRdGgXAHA">Sar-e Dawra</a> area of PD 4, =
killing one civilian. At approximately 2000 hrs, OAG members attacked ANSF =
positions in the Kandak-e Enayat area of PD 4 with SAF and RPGs. ANSF/PGM m=
embers returned fire. One OAG member was killed and another one was wounded=
. Two other civilians were killed in the crossfire.<br /><br />The Kunduz-T=
aloqan, Kunduz-Emam Saheb, and Kunduz-Pul-e Khumri roads are open to traffi=
c, however, the risk of collateral damage if travelling through these route=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 12 July, 1200 hrs:</stron=
g> ANSF and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in the Ban=
dar-e Khanabad and Moskin Abad areas of PD 2. Heavy armed clashes were also=
 reported in the evening hours yesterday and during the night time in PD 2,=
 in the Moskin Abad and Sarak-e Naw areas.<br /><br />In addition, further =
armed clashes took place during the day time yesterday in PD 2. At around 0=
700 hrs, OAG members attacked a PGM outpost in the Sarak-e Naw area of PD 2=
. One PGM mid-level commander and two other PGM members were killed, with 1=
2 more wounded. Three OAG members were killed and another four were wounded=
. At approximately 1000 hrs, OAG members ambushed an ANA Humvee-type vehicl=
e in the Moskin Abad area with SAF. Lastly, at noon, opposition groups atta=
cked another ANA Humvee transporting Special Forces in the Chawk-e Matinak =
area using SAF. The vehicle was partially damaged and two ANA soldiers were=
 wounded.<br /><br />The night before, at around 2100 hrs on 10 July, an ar=
med clash between OAG and PGM members in the Moskin Abad area of PD 2 resul=
ted in one PGM member killed and OAG members overrunning an outpost. The OA=
G members subsequently set the outpost on fire and withdrew from the area.<=
br /><br />Warring parties exchanged further IDF yesterday. At around 0900 =
hrs, ANSF fired at least 10 artillery rounds from the airport plateau towar=
ds OAG positions in the Moskin Abad and Kala-e Gaw areas of PD 2. An unconf=
irmed number of IDF rounds impacted on private residences, partially damagi=
ng the buildings. In the evening hours, at approximately 1800 hrs, OAG memb=
ers fired at least 14 mortar rounds towards ANSF positions at the airport p=
lateau, most of them impacting in open space. At least one mortar round imp=
acted on the runaway, partially damaging it. Public authorities are reporte=
dly planning to repair it soon. One of the perimeter walls of the civilian =
terminal and one ANA helicopter were slightly damaged due to the impact of =
mortar rounds in the proximity.<br /><br />AAF was monitoring the security =
situation by air last night.<br /><br />The Kunduz-Taloqan, Kunduz-Emam Sah=
eb, and Kunduz-Pul-e Khumri roads are open to traffic, however, the risk of=
 collateral damage if travelling through these routes is assessed to be hig=

g> As of the time of writing, ANSF and OAG members are sporadically exchani=
ng fire in the Sarak-e Naw area of PD 2.<br /><br />Heavy fighting between =
ANSF/PGM and OAG members, using SAF and RPGs, was reported yesterday in mul=
tiple parts of the city. At around 1400 hrs, OAG members attacked ANA soldi=
ers in the Sedarak area of PD 1. In PD 2, OAG members attacked a PGM outpos=
t located in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/4BazH5WM365mvVqn7">Moskin A=
bad</a> area at approximately 1500 hrs. As a result, one PGM member was wou=

g> OAG members attacked ANSF members positioned in the Bandar-e Khanabad ar=
ea of PD 2, Kunduz City, at around 1730 hrs today. ANSF responded and an ar=
med clash is ongoing in the area. The government troops that were positione=
d at the checkpoint located in the Chella Mazar area proceeded to Bandar-e =
Khanabad as reinforcements.<br /><br />ANSF and OAG members had been sporad=
ically exchanging fire in the Chella Mazar area until approximately 1700 hr=
s today. Casualties have been reported, however, figures remain unknown as =
of the time of writing.<br /><br />The armed clash that erupted in the Band=
ar-e Emam Saheb area of PD 2, along the Kunduz-Emam Saheb Road (see AFGHANI=
STAN/NORTHEAST/A/20062021/#005), at around 1715 hrs today is still ongoing.=
