rs:</strong> A heavy armed clash is ongoing between ANSF/PGM and OAG member=
s in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/eRfkW39PjV3pPeGVA">Qarya-e Mullah N=
oor Mohammad</a> area of PD 3. Warring parties are also sporadically exchan=
ging fire in the Pul-e Marshall Fahim area of PD 4 and the Gunjali Big area=
 of PD 1 as of the time of writing.<br /><br />In the morning of 01 August,=
 further armed clashes occurred in PD 1 and PD 3. OAG members attacked ANSF=
/PGM positions in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/1NC6nfBRoWVjdwHC8">Pos=
t Khor</a> area of PD 1 and the Qarya-e Mullah Noor Mohammad area using SAF=
 and RPGs, with pro-government forces returning fire. In the Qarya-e Mullah=
 Noor Mohammad area, ANSF/PGM members subsequently withdrew and opposition =
groups took control of the area. In total, three ANSF members and five PGM =
members were killed, and five ANSF members and three PGM members were wound=
ed. Ten OAG members were killed and another seven were wounded. Two civilia=
ns were wounded in the crossfire in the Qarya-e Mullah Noor Mohammad area.<=
br /><br />Yesterday, in the evening hours, the armed opposition attacked A=
NSF/PGM outposts in the Gunjali Big and Pul-e Marshall Fahim areas. No casu=
alties were reported from the latter, while the armed clash in the Gunjali =
Big area left two PGM members and two OAG members killed. The pro-governmen=
t troops withdrew from Gunjali Big, with OAG members then taking control of=
 the area.<br /><br />The Taloqan-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak, and Taloqan-Fayz=
abad roads remain open to traffic. The risk of collateral damage if travell=

rs: </strong>ANSF/PGM and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and R=
PGs in the Chob Bar and Khetayan areas of PD 1, and in the Qara Parchaw and=
 Saray-e Sang areas of PD 3.<br /><br />Over the past few days, heavy armed=
 clashes have taken place in multiple areas of PD 1, PD 2, PD 3, and PD 4, =
with SAF and RPGs, mostly at night-time.<br /><br />On 29 July, in PD 3, OA=
G members attacked ANP and PGM positions in the Qara Parchaw and <a href=3D=
"https://goo.gl/maps/ukg6JYjjmUdWqPTw6">Salakhi Qeshlaq</a> areas at around=
 1700 hrs, and in the Pul-e Marshall Fahim area at 2100 hrs. As a result, o=
ne ANP member and two PGM members were wounded, and four OAG members were k=
illed and two more were wounded. Two civilians were wounded in the crossfir=
e. At night-time, opposition groups attacked ANSF/PGM outposts in the Pul-e=
 Kalan area of PD 2 and the Chob Bar area of PD 1. Two PGM members were wou=
nded and three OAG members were killed and another two were wounded. ANSF f=
ired at least one artillery round from the Taloqan airfield towards OAG pos=
itions in the Nahr-e Chaman area of PD 4, killing one OAG member and woundi=
ng two more.<br /><br />On 30 July, at approximately 1400 hrs, an estimated=
 100-150 ANSF/PGM members launched an operation in the Chob Bar, Ahan Dara,=
 and Khetayan areas, with OAG members withdrawing after a brief firefight. =
Two PGM members were killed and one more was wounded, while nine OAG member=
s were killed, six others were wounded, and four were arrested. One civilia=
n was wounded in the crossfire. Hours later, armed clashes were reported in=
 the Pul-e Kalan and Kart-e Akbar Khan areas of PD 2, the Qara Parchaw and =
Salakhi Qeshlaq areas of PD 3, and the Pul-e Marshall and Band-e Shahrawan =
areas of PD 4. In total, four PGM members were killed, and five ANSF member=
s and seven PGM members were wounded. Seven OAG members were killed and nin=
e more were wounded. Three civilians were wounded in the crossfire. ANSF fi=
red at least two artillery rounds towards OAG positions in the Nahr-e Chama=
n area, wounding two OAG members.<br /><br />Yesterday, at around 1000 hrs,=
 opposition groups attacked pro-government forces in the Qara Parchaw and S=
alakhi areas of PD 3. One PGM member was killed and another two were wounde=
d, and six OAG members were killed. Three civilians were wounded in the cro=
ssfire. In addition, ANSF withdrew from the Pul-e Ahan Dara area of PD 1 an=
d the Bandar-e Shah Rawan area of PD 4, with OAG members subsequently takin=
g control of the area. Last night, OAG members attacked ANSF/PGM members in=
 the Qara Parchaw area. The armed clash resulted in three OAG members wound=
ed. ANSF fired at least three artillery rounds from the Taloqan airfield to=
wards the OAG positions, killing one OAG member and wounding two others.<br=
 /><br />The Taloqan-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak, and Taloqan-Fayzabad roads ar=
e open to traffic, however, the risk of collateral damage if travelling thr=
ough these routes is assessed to be high.<br /><br />The previous advisory =

ng>At approximately 1800 hrs on 28 July, ANSF and PGM members began a clear=
ing operation targeting the Gunjali Big area of Taloqan's PD 1. OAG members=
 withdrew from the area following an armed clash that killed one PGM member=
 and three OAG members and wounded four PGM members and three OAG members.<=
br /><br />Between 1830 and 2300 hrs on 28 July, OAG members conducted SAF =
attacks on ANSF frontline positions in the Pul-e Marshal Fahim area of PD 4=
, Qara Parchaw area of PD 3, and the Shahr-e Kohna area of PD 2. One OAG me=
mber was reported killed in the Qara Parchaw area.<br /><br />The previous =
advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 28 July, 1415 hrs:</stron=
g> An armed clash is ongoing in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/RVbsqHwv=
m1JeBdCN7">Gunjali Big</a> and Chob Bar areas of PD 1. At around 1330 hrs t=
oday, an estimated 150-200 ANSF/PGM members launched an operation targeting=
 OAG positions in the area.<br /><br />Yesterday, at approximately 2000 hrs=
, OAG members attacked an ANSF outpost located in the Qara Parchaw area of =
PD 3 with SAF and RPGs. Government forces returned fire and wounded one OAG=
 member. Roughly one hour later, opposition groups attacked ANSF members in=
 the Shahr-e Kohna area of PD 2. One civilian was wounded in the crossfire.=
<br /><br />No further casualties have been reported.<br /><br />The Taloqa=
n-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak, and Taloqan-Fayzabad roads are open to traffic, =
however, the risk of collateral damage if travelling through these routes i=
s assessed to be high.<br /><br /></div>

g> No armed clash is ongoing as of the time of writing. That said, AAF is s=
till monitoring the security situation by air. Yesterday, further conflict =
activity was reported in PD 1, PD 2, PD 3, and PD 4, with both parties to t=
he conflict using SAF and RPGs on all occasions.<br /><br />In PD 1, at aro=
und 2200 hrs, OAG members attacked an ANSF outpost in the <a href=3D"https:=
//goo.gl/maps/QdFyEaEoFauGqmT87">Chob Bar</a> area.<br /><br />In PD 2, opp=
osition groups attacked ANSF/PGM positions in the Pul-e Kalan, Kart-e Akbar=
 Khan, and Shahr-e Kohna areas at around 1300 hrs and in the evening hours.=
 ANSF/PGM members returned fire and, as a result of the armed clashes, four=
 ANSF/PGM members were wounded, while five OAG members were killed and seve=
n more were wounded. Two civilians were wounded in the crossfire. AAF condu=
cted at least one airstrike targeting OAG positions in the Kart-e Akbar Kha=
n area, killing two OAG members and wounding another two. Multiple private =
compounds in the area were partially damaged.<br /><br />In PD 3, OAG membe=
rs attacked an ANP outpost in the Abdal area at around 2100 hrs.<br /><br /=
>Lastly, in PD 4, at approximately 2100 hrs too, an armed clash erupted in =
the Pul-e Marshal Fahim and Nahr-e Chaman areas. One ANP member was wounded=
 and two OAG members were killed. ANSF fired at least two artillery rounds =
from the Taloqan airfield towards OAG positions in the Nahr-e Chaman area a=
t approximately 2100 hrs, killing two OAG members. AAF conducted at least o=
ne airstrike targeting OAG positions in the Nahr-e Chaman area.<br /><br />=
The Taloqan-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak, and Taloqan-Fayzabad roads are open to=

g> ANSF/PGM and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in the=
 Kart-e Akbar Khan and Pul-e Kalan areas of PD 2, and the Gaw Mali area of =
PD 1.<br /><br />Heavy armed clashes with close-range weapons, SAF and RPGs=
, were reported in the above-mentioned areas yesterday. In PD 2, at around =
1500 hrs, OAG members attacked an ANSF outpost in the Pul-e Kalan area and,=
 roughly three hours later, another ANSF position in the Kart-e Akbar Khan =
area. ANSF returned fire and, as a result, two ANSF members were wounded, a=
nd nine OAG members were killed and nine more were wounded. Four civilians =
were wounded in the crossfire. In PD 1, at approximately 2300 hrs, OAG memb=
ers attacked a PGM outpost in the Gaw Mali area, wounding one PGM member. P=
GMs responded and wounded three OAG members.<br /><br />AAF is monitoring t=
he security situation by air. At around 1800 hrs yesterday, the air force c=
onducted at least one airstrike targeting OAG positions in the Khas Kapa ar=
ea of PD 2, and at least another one in the Nahr-e Chaman area of PD 4. Ten=
 OAG members were killed and another six were wounded.<br /><br />The Taloq=
an-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak, and Taloqan-Fayzabad roads are open to traffic,=
 however, the risk of collateral damage if travelling through these routes =

g> ANSF and OAG members are sporadically exchanging SAF and RPGs in multipl=
e areas of PD 1, PD 2, PD 3, and PD 4, particularly in the locations mentio=
ned below.<br /><br />On 20 July, at around 2100 hrs, OAG members attacked =
a PGM outpost in the Gaw Mali area of PD 1 using SAF and RPGs. The next day=
, on 21 July, OAG members attacked another PGM position in the <a href=3D"h=
ttps://goo.gl/maps/JcyqGn3GCoDKH5qr9">Pul-e Kalan</a> area of PD 2, along t=
he Taloqan-Kunduz Road, killing one PGM member, and an ANSF checkpoint in t=
he <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/LgvbWi51AA57i4fm9">Sarak-e Nahr-e Chaman<=
/a> area of PD 4. On 22 July, opposition groups attacked ANSF members in th=
e Qara Parchaw area of PD 3.<br /><br />On 23 July, at night-time, OAG memb=
ers attacked ANSF/PGM positions in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/Xmiov=
FrtpCeMj1d27">Kart-e Akbar Khan</a> and <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/6EFL=
mpxKiEVoCPcX9">Shahr-e Kohna</a> areas of PD 2, and the <a href=3D"https://=
goo.gl/maps/BdyxRmt39EBhfXt36">Pul-e Marshal Fahim</a> area of PD 4. ANSF/P=
GM members returned fire. As a result of the armed clashes, one PGM member =
was wounded and three OAG members were killed. Two civilians were wounded i=
n the crossfire. At approximately 2300 hrs, ANSF fired at least two artille=
ry rounds from the Taloqan airfield towards OAG positions in the Nahr-e Cha=
man area of PD 4. Three OAG members were killed and two more were wounded.<=
br /><br />Yesterday, the armed opposition attacked ANP positions in the Pu=
l-e Kalan and Kart-e Akbar Khan areas of PD 2. Five ANP members were wounde=
d, while two OAG members were killed and another three wounded. One civilia=
n was wounded in the crossfire. In PD 3, armed clashes were reported in the=
 Qara Parchaw and Abdal areas. One PGM member and four OAG members were wou=
nded.<br /><br />No further AAF airstrikes have been reported in Taloqan Di=
strict since the previous update.<br /><br />Conflict activity is expected =
to continue in suburbs and surrounding areas of Taloqan City in the coming =
days, particularly, at night-time. In this regard, the Ministry of Interior=
 announced, yesterday, that a curfew had been imposed in 31 provinces acros=
s the country, including Takhar, from 2200 to 0400 hrs.<br /><br />The Talo=
qan-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak, and Taloqan-Fayzabad roads are open to traffic=
, however, the risk of collateral damage if travelling through these routes=
 is assessed to be high.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 19 July, 1745 hrs:</stron=
g> No firefight has been reported in Taloqan District today. AAF, however, =
is still monitoring the security situation by air.<br /><br />Yesterday, OA=
G members took control of multiple ANSF/PGM positions located in suburbs of=
 Taloqan City and surrounding areas, namely in the Nahr-e Chaman, Post Khor=
, and Chob Bor areas of PD 1, and the Pul-e Shash Metera, Pul-e Jalad Khan,=
 Cheshm-e Shir, Pul-e Qaq, Khas Kapa, and Abdal areas of PD 2. Opposition g=
roups reportedly remain positioned in the above-mentioned areas as of the t=
ime of writing.<br /><br />ANSF/PGM members made tactical withdrawals from =
most areas, consolidating positions in Taloqan City. The armed clash that h=
ad erupted in the Pul-e Jalad Khan area of PD 2 at around 1515 hrs yesterda=
y resulted in four ANSF members wounded, eight OAG members killed, five mor=
e wounded, and two civilians wounded in the crossfire. Another armed clash =
in the Abdal area of PD 2 caused no casualties. A third firefight reported =
from the Nahr-e Chaman area of PD 1 concluded with two PGM members wounded,=
 three OAG members killed, an unconfirmed number of other OAG members wound=
ed, and one civilian killed.<br /><br />AAF conducted at least one airstrik=
e targeting OAG positions in the Pul-e Jalad Khan area at around 1500 hrs, =
killing two OAG members, and at least another airstrike in the Pul-e Ahan D=
ara area roughly two hours later, with no casualties reported on this occas=
ion.<br /><br />The Taloqan-Kunduz, Taloqan-Baharak, and Taloqan-Fayzabad r=
oads are open to traffic, however, the risk of collateral damage if travell=
ing through these routes is assessed to be high.<br /><br />The previous ad=
visory remains in place.<br /><br />In the event of armed clashes in or nea=
rby areas, NGO staff is recommended to remain indoors, away from windows, a=
nd consider to seek shelter inside safe rooms or hardened structures.</div>

g>&nbsp;At around 1515 hrs today, OAG members attacked an ANSF/PGM outpost =
located in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/h1A9A36p4FZUAPSq9">Pul-e Jala=
d Khan</a> area of PD 2. ANSF/PGM members responded and an armed clash is o=
ngoing.<br /><br />Further conflict activity has taken place in the four PD=
s of Taloqan District over the past days. In PD 1, at around 0300 hrs on 16=
 July, AAF conducted at least one airstrike targeting OAG positions in the =
<a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/UoKKTFvEBtfbTSEn7">Pul-e Ahan Dara</a> area,=
 killing three OAG members. The next day, on 17 July, at approximately 1400=
 hrs, OAG members took control of abandoned ANSF checkpoints located in the=
 <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/bA1zLNhYHqF6RXfYA">Taka Tui Muz</a> area, a=

br />In PD 2, on 16 July, opposition groups attacked ANSF positions in the =

long the Taloqan-Kunduz Road, at around 1100 hrs and 1600 hrs. On the first=
 occasion, five ANSF members were wounded, seven OAG members were killed an=
d five more wounded, and two civilians were wounded in the crossfire. In th=
e second attack, two OAG members were wounded. In the Pul-e Jalad Khan area=
, OAG members attacked and overran a PGM outpost and remained in the area. =
One PGM member and three civilians were wounded. In the <a href=3D"https://=
goo.gl/maps/nkq9r7z1pjq2aCKHA">Pul-e Shash Metera</a> area, AAF conducted a=
t least two airstrikes targeting OAG positions, killing one OAG member and =
wounding three others. Two civilians working in an agricultural land were w=
ounded. ANSF fired at least four artillery rounds, killing four more OAG me=
mbers.<br /><br />In PD 3, on 16 July, OAG members attacked an ANSF positio=
n in the Qazaaq area. ANSF returned fire, killing four OAG members and woun=
ding another three. In addition, AAF conducted at least one airstrike in th=
e <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/cvSJWp55WrZfLy7E8">Saray-e Sang</a> area, =
killing five OAG members. The next day, opposition groups attacked ANSF out=
posts in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/ch7WfPWZAgV2LFDr5">Abdal</a>, <=
a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/zbWMpLUr52PeF81m8">Qara Parchaw</a>, and Sara=
y-e Sang areas. In total, one OAG member was killed and three civilians wer=
e wounded in the crossfire.<br /><br />Lastly, in PD 4, OAG members attacke=
d ANSF positions in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/hbcybW4Nc92Qw9hg6">N=
ahr-e Chaman</a> area with SAF and RPGs. ANSF returned fire, with AAF condu=
cting at least two airstrikes. Shortly after, OAG members attacked an ANP p=
osition, forcing government forces to withdraw. Four ANSF members, includin=
g the Takhar Provincial Chief of Police (PCOP), were wounded. Nine OAG memb=
ers were killed and 14 more were wounded. Two civilians were killed and thr=
ee others were wounded in the crossfire. In the evening during the same day=
, ANSF/PGM members launched an operation, retaking the area. One PGM member=
, three OAG members, and one civilian were killed. OAG members also attacke=
d ANSF positions in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/W3aeLUywSbx8gEQG8">P=
ul-e Kocha-e Marshal Fahim</a> area that day.<br /><br />The previous advis=
ory remains in place.</div>

g> OAG members attacked an ANSF/PGM checkpoint located in the <a href=3D"ht=

 hrs today with SAF and RPGs. ANSF/PGM members responded and an armed clash=
 is ongoing.<br /><br />The armed clash in the Kolabi Qushlaq area conclude=
d at around 1900 hrs yesterday, when ANSF/PGM members withdrew and OAG memb=
ers took control of the area. As a result of the armed clash, two PGM membe=
rs were killed and three ANP members were wounded. Five OAG members were ki=
lled and three more were wounded.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains =
in place.<br /><br />NGOs are further advised to consider changes in territ=
