:</strong> The armed clash concluded at approximately 1300 hrs. Despite the=
 intensity of the clash, INSO has thus far only confirmed two casualties, n=
amely two PGM members wounded, even as the numbers could be revised upwards=
 in the future. Both OAG and ANSF members remain positioned in the Sayyad a=
rea as of the time of writing, with the likelihood of further clashes asses=
sed as high.&nbsp;<br /><br />OAG control over the nearby <a href=3D"https:=
//goo.gl/maps/QN35E2nH91zXSLNq8">Pozi Firoz Nakhchir</a> section of the roa=
d remains unchallenged since this early morning.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br /></d=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Even as the current phase of the confro=
ntation has ended, NGOs are advised to continue to avoid the Sayyad area du=
e to a high likelihood that clashes resume.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">In addition, given that the road is und=
er OAG control in the nearby Pozi Firoz Nakhchir area, NGOs are further adv=
ised to consider their internal policies and risk appetite when travelling =
there.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 30 July, 1120 hrs:</stron=
g> The armed clash continues, and approximately 50 more ANSF (ANA and ANP) =
members arrived from Mazar-e Sharif City in support of the 300 ANSF members=
 normally manning the outpost.&nbsp;<br /><br />The OAG intent is to take c=
ontrol of a portion of the Mazar-e Sharif-Aybak Road, and follows another a=
ttack during the night in the Pozi Firoz Nakhchir area in neighbouring Hazr=
at-e Sultan District, in Samagan Province. That armed clash, which started =
on 29 July at 2200 hrs and resulted in close to 20 ANSF casualties, conclud=
ed in the early morning with ANSF members withdrawing from their position a=
nd moving to the outpost in the Sayyad area currently under attack.&nbsp;</=

g> Approximately 200 OAG members attacked a large ANSF outpost in the Sayya=

ements, as well as AAF airstrikes, can be expected to arrive to repel the a=
ttack. The armed clash is ongoing at the time of writing and the road to Ay=
bak is closed to civilian traffic.&nbsp;</div>
