tan area and a resumption of armed clashes is assessed as likely for the co=
ming days. In addition, IEA members maintain a checkpoint in the Pozi Firoz=

:</strong> Approximately 50 OAG members initiated an attack on an ANSF outp=
ost manned by around 80 government forces servicemen. <br /><br />The attac=
k is at the moment mostly harassing in nature, however, should the OAG memb=
ers receive additional support, the outpost may collapse. As of the time of=
 writing, INSO could not confirm any plans of ANSF reinforcements being dep=
loyed.&nbsp;</div>

lts on ANSF outposts on the same road and not far from the area (please see=
 AFGHANISTAN/NORTH/A/30072021/#01-U2) on both the Balkh and Samangan sector=
s of the highway. An attack on an ANSF outpost in the Pozi Firoz Nakhchir a=
rea on the evening of 29 July resulted in ANSF withdrawing from the area.&n=
