:</strong> The situation remains calm in the title areas, with no further c=
lashes since a brief exchange of fire on 24 July at 0100 hrs.&nbsp;<br /><b=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">OAG members are now in control of Sorkh=
ak, Fayzabad, and Qargho areas, with no ANSF presence in these areas. ANSF =
members have established a position in Kohna Bazar and this area now forms =
a frontline between the two parties.&nbsp;<br /><br />ANSF members report n=
o plans to conduct operations against OAG members in Sorkhak, Fayzabad, and=
 Qargho.&nbsp;<br /><br />The road between Sar-e Pul City and Kohna Bazar i=
s open to all traffic. However, IEDs continue to pose a risk to traffic on =
this route. OAG members have laid RCIEDs to target ANSF or GOA vehicles spe=
cifically, but such devices may cause collateral damage to civilian vehicle=
s when they detonate. Additionally, civilian vehicles may be misidentified =
as affiliated with ANSF/GOA by OAG members.&nbsp;</div>								</div>

he advisory covering Kohna Bazar remains in place. This is now an establish=
ed frontline between the two parties, and further exchanges of fire are hig=
hly likely to occur within the next week without warning. INSO North &nbsp;=
will issue a separate report on the Kohna Bazaar area.&nbsp;<br /><br />Thi=
s alert chain is now closed.</div>

:</strong> The situation in the security belt surrounding Sar-e Pul City re=
mained calm during the Eid period, and there was only one small-scale haras=
sing attack reported against an ANSF checkpoint at 0100 hrs on 24 July.&nbs=
p;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">However, with the end of the Eid holida=
y, attacks on ASNF personnel in the security belt checkpoints are expected =
to resume within the next 24 hours.&nbsp;<br /><br />The previous advisory =
remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 19 July, 1150 hrs:</stron=
g> No further clashes occurred overnight on 18-19 July. However, OAG member=
s remain in the area and reportedly plan to attack ANSF positions in the ti=
tle locations again within the next 24 hours.&nbsp;<br /><br />The previous=
 advisory remains in place.&nbsp;</div>

g> No further armed clashes took place in Kohna Bazar on 18 July.<br /><br =

onnel remain in position and further clashes are likely within the next 24 =
hours.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 17 July, 1055 hrs:</stron=
g> Sporadic armed clashes between OAG members and ANSF personnel in Kohna B=
azar continued until 0300 hrs on 17 July. OAG members are now in control of=
 the security belt checkpoint on the Shibirghan-Sar-e Pul Road.&nbsp;<br />=
<br />AAF airstrikes on 16 July killed six OAG members in Fayzabad. However=
, OAG members remain in the area. Both OAG members and ANSF personnel are p=
ositioned in Kohna Bazar, approximately 6 km from central Sar-e Pul City.&n=
bsp;<br /><br />ANSF personnel have removed all prisoners held at the Fayza=
bad Prison, transporting 26 OAG members to Mazar-e Sharif City and moving 8=
0 other prisoners to ANP HQ.&nbsp;<br /><br />Reports indicate that OAG mem=
bers will attack ANSF personnel in the area again within the next 24 hours,=
 attempting to push ANSF members closer into the city centre.&nbsp;</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 16 July, 2005 hrs:</stron=
g> ANSF personnel withdrew from the security belt checkpoint on the Shibirg=
han-Sar-e Pul Road and moved 2 km towards the city to the Kohna Bazar area.=
&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">OAG members attacked the ANSF personnel=
 as they withdrew and an armed clash is ongoing in Kohna Bazar.</div>
<br />The previous advisory remains in place.<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 16 July, 1930 hrs:</stron=
g> There have been no further clashes on 16 July. However, AAF conducted a =
series of airstrikes in the Kohna Bazar and Fayzabad areas targeting OAG po=
sitions. At the time of writing casualty figures were unknown.<br /><br /><=
/div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">OAG members have moved into the Fayzaba=
d area and placed a series of IEDs to prevent ANSF personnel from travellin=
g out of Sar-e Pul City into the Fayzabad area.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Reports indicate that OAG members are p=
reparing an attack on the prison in Fayzabad within the next 24 hours.&nbsp=
;</div>
<br />The previous advisory to avoid the area remains in place due to the r=
isk of IED detonations on the main road and the high likelihood of further =
clashes and airstrikes in the area.<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 16 July, 0950 hrs:</stron=
g> The armed clash ended at 0300 hrs on 16 July when OAG members withdrew a=
pproximately 2 km to nearby villages. AAF conducted three airstrikes in Qar=
gho area, killing 16 OAG members.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Two IEDs emplaced under two culverts on=
 the Sar-e Pul-Shibirghan Road in Qargho and Kohna Bazar detonated, damagin=
g the culverts. OAG members also emplaced IEDs on the road in Fayzabad, and=
 the road is currently closed to civilian traffic.&nbsp;</div>
<br />The previous advisory to avoid the area remains in place due to the r=
isk of IED detonations on the main road.&nbsp;<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 15 July, 1945 hrs:</stron=
g> At the time and locations above, approximately 200 OAG members attacked =
three ANSF outposts on the outskirts of Sar-e Pul City.&nbsp;<br /><br /></=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">ANSF personnel returned fire and an int=
ense armed clash is ongoing.&nbsp;<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGOs are advised to avoid the area.<br =

rounding areas are advised to seek shelter inside safe rooms or hardened st=
