 further operation in Hassan Taben Ghazgi in the next 12 hours.&nbsp;<br />=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 17 July, 1300 hrs:</stron=
g> Approximately 400 ANSF members have begun a clearing operation in Hassan=
 Taben Ghazgi. Firefights are ongoing between OAG members and ANSF personne=
l in the area.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">AAF helicopters are active and are like=
ly to conduct airstrikes against OAG positions in Hassan Taben Ghazgi.<br /=
><br />The previous advisory remains in place.&nbsp;</div>
<br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 17 July, 1030 hrs:</stron=
g> No further clashes occurred in the area south of Shibirghan City overnig=
ht. Some 150 families have left their homes in Hassan Taben Ghazgi due to f=
ighting and OAG members have reportedly taken cover in the abandoned homes,=
 with approximately 350 OAG members still in the area.&nbsp;<br /><br /></d=
iv>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">AAF airstrikes on 16 July killed 74 OAG=
 members, including the District Shadow Governor for Mingajik, and wounded =
45 OAG members, most of whom have been taken to Aqcha and Darzab districts.=
<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Fifty ANA commandos arrived in Shibirgh=
an City by air at 2200 hrs on 16 July, and plan to conduct a clearing opera=
tion in Hassan Taben Ghazgi within the next 24 hours. This is likely to be =
challenging, given that OAG members have taken shelter in civilian homes, a=
nd clashes between the two sides are expected to be intense.<br /><br />The=
 previous advisory remains in place.</div>
<br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 16 July, 1815 hrs:</stron=
g> Armed clashes ended in the Koh Gunbad and Hassan Taben Ghazgi areas at 1=
700 hrs. Both ANSF personnel and OAG members remain in position in both are=
as. AAF helicopters have conducted a series of airstrikes in Alta Khowja, K=
oh Gunbad, and Hassan Taben Ghazgi, with more strikes underway at the time =
of writing.&nbsp;<br /><br />Reports suggest that OAG members are preparing=
 to conduct further attacks on ANSF personnel in Hassan Taben Ghazgi and Ko=
h Gunbad&nbsp; and are attempting to enter the city. Further fighting is th=
erefore expected in the title areas in the next 12 hours.&nbsp;</div>
<br />The previous advisory remains in place.<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 16 July, 1200 hrs:</stron=
g> Approximately 150 ANA members arrived in Shibirghan by air to reinforce =
ANSF personnel in the city. ANSF members are also supported by PGMs under t=
he command of Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">OAG members moved into the Koh Gunbad a=
rea in PD 2 and an armed clash is ongoing in the Koh Gunbad area approximat=
ely 4 km from the Provincial Governor's Compound.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">AAF conducted airstrikes in Alta Khowja=
 and Qara Kent on 16 July and air assets are still active in the area to su=
pport ground troops.&nbsp;<br /><br />Approximately 50 members of Marshal A=
bdul Rashid Dostum's personal bodyguard arrived in the city, with reports i=
ndicating that Dostum will also travel to Shibirghan in the coming 24 hours=
.&nbsp;<br /><br />Telecommunications networks are available but service on=
 all networks is sporadic and coverage is poor.&nbsp;<br /><br />The previo=
us advisory remains in place and is extended to the Koh Gunbad area.</div>
<br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 16 July, 1015 hrs:</stron=
g> At 0800 hrs on 16 July ANSF members withdrew from Nowabad Pump Khana aft=
er an OAG attack and moved to the Hassan Taben Ghazgi area, before withdraw=
ing further into the city and establishing positions in Band-e Sar-e Pul, a=
pproximately 1 km south of the Provincial Governor's Office.&nbsp;<br /><br=
 />Approximately 500 OAG members are now in the Hassan Taben Ghazgi and Alt=
a Khowja areas. There were unconfirmed reports of AAF airstrikes against OA=
G members in Alta Khowja at the time of writing.<br /><br />Armed clashes a=
re expected within the city limits in southern areas of PD 1 and PD 2 withi=
n the next 12 hours.&nbsp;</div>
<br />The previous advisory remains in place and is extended to Hassan Tabe=
n Ghazgi and Alta Khowja.<br />
<p>In addition, NGOs with staff present in Shibirghan City are recommended =
to initiate headcount procedures and advise their staff to remain indoors, =
away from windows, and consider to seek shelter inside safe rooms or harden=
ed structures.<br /><br />NGOs are further advised to ensure that communica=
tion and reporting channels with their staff remain operational.</p>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 15 July, 1345 hrs:</stron=
g> The armed clash at Nowabad Pump Khana ended at 1230 hrs. The clash kille=
d six ANA and two PGM members, wounding nine more ANSF members, while 15 OA=
G members were killed and eight wounded after three airstrikes by AAF helic=
opters.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">OAG members remain in the area and plan=
 to attack the outpost again in the next 12-24 hours.&nbsp;</div>
<br />The previous advisory remains in place and is extended to the Nowabad=
 Pump Khana area.&nbsp;<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 15 July, 1100 hrs:</stron=
g> Approximately 300 OAG members attacked the ANSF outpost at Nowabad Pump =
Khana at 1030 hrs. ANSF personnel returned fire and an intense armed clash =
is ongoing.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">An additional 200 ANSF personnel have d=
eployed from Shibirghan City to support the ANSF members at Pump Khana.&nbs=
p;</div>
<br />The previous advisory remains in place and is extended to the Nowabad=
 Pump Khana area.&nbsp;<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 15 July, 0920 hrs:</stron=
g> ANSF personnel withdrew from outposts in Toorkhil and Qara Kent after OA=
G members attacked the outposts at 2300 hrs on 14 July. OAG members then ov=
erran the outposts.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">ANSF personnel withdrew to a joint PGM/=
ANA/ANP base in Qochen and to the southern checkpoint for Shibirghan City a=
t Nowabad Pump Khana. Outside Shibirghan City limits, ANSF members at Qoche=
n are the only remaining ANSF personnel stationed to the south of the city.=
&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">The clashes on 14 July killed 14 PGM me=
mbers and wounded 15 PGM members. An additional 25 OAG members were killed =
and 23 wounded.&nbsp;<br /><br />OAG members remain in the Toorkhil and Qar=
a Kent areas. Approximately 150 OAG members arrived south of Shibirghan Cit=
y from Chahar Bolak District and Balkh District to support the operation on=
 14 July, and reportedly remain in the area.&nbsp;<br /><br />Further attac=
ks on the ANSF position at Qochen are likely within the next 12-24 hours.<b=
r /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.&nbsp;</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 14 July, 1400 hrs:</stron=
g> The armed clash in Qara Kent ended at 1315 hrs. AAF helicopters conducte=
d airstrikes against OAG positions in the area. Both OAG members and ANSF p=
ersonnel remain in the same positions.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">The clash killed three PGM and seven OA=
G members and wounded five PGM and 13 OAG members.&nbsp;<br /><br />The pre=
vious advisory remains in place.&nbsp;</div>
<br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 14 July, 0850 hrs:</stron=
g> OAG members attacked ANSF personnel in Qara Kent at approximately 0820 h=
rs, firing on ANSF outposts with RPGs and SAF. ANSF personnel returned fire=
 and the armed clash is ongoing.&nbsp;</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 13 July, 1355 hrs:</stron=
g> The armed clash in Toorkhil and Qara Kent ended at 1330 hrs. In total, c=
lashes on 12 and 13 July killed seven PGM members and 14 OAG members, wound=
ing 10 PGM members and 14 OAG members.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">OAG members remain in position in both =
locations, with no ANSF operation to clear the areas planned. Reports sugge=
st that OAG members plan to attack the ANSF outposts again in the next 24 h=
ours.&nbsp;</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 13 July, 0900 hrs:</stron=
g> Heavy fighting continues in the Toorkhil and Qara Kent areas. PGM member=
s remain in four outposts in Toorkhil and three in Qara Kent, and OAG membe=
rs are attacking all seven outposts. AAF conducted airstrikes against OAG p=
ositions in Qara Kent on the evening of 12 July, but did not succeed in dri=
ving OAG members away from the area.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">At the time of writing clashes in Toork=
hil and Qara Kent on 12 and 13 July had killed five PGM members and nine OA=
G members, while seven PGM members and nine OAG members had been wounded.&n=
bsp;<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.&nbsp;</div>

g> At 1710 hrs OAG members opened fire on ANSF personnel in Toorkhil and Qa=

g> No exchanges of fire took place overnight. However, both OAG members and=
 ANSF personnel remain in place and further fighting is expected within the=

g> The armed clash ended at 1630 hrs. The clash killed five PGM members and=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 11 July, 0945 hrs:</stron=
g> The armed clashes in Toorkhil and Qara Kent ended at approximately 0000 =
hrs on 11 July. The clashes killed nine PGM members and 19 OAG members, wou=
nding 22 OAG members and 26 PGM members.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">PGM members recovered two stolen Humvee=
s from OAG members in Qara Kent and seized 10 motorcycles.&nbsp;<br /><br /=
>OAG members remain in the area and an additional 100 OAG members from Sanc=
harak District (Sar-e Pul Province) have arrived in Afghan Tepa Afghaniya t=
o support attacks against the PGM positions in Toorkhil and Qara Kent.&nbsp=

nt and Afghan Tepa Afganiya, killing 27 OAG members and wounding a further =
16 OAG members across both locations.&nbsp;<br /><br />The previous advisor=
y remains in place and is extended to the Qara Kent area.&nbsp;</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 10 July, 1110 hrs:</stron=
g> The situation in Toorkhil remains unstable. After a break in fighting ov=
ernight from 2100 hrs on 09 July, an armed clash between OAG members and AN=
SF personnel began again at 1000 hrs on 10 July and the exchange of fire is=
 ongoing.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Fighting on 09 July killed six PGM and =
two ANP members, wounding 13 PGM members and two ANP members. The clash kil=
led 43 OAG members and wounded 15 more, with most OAG casualties caused by =
AAF airstrikes on the evening of 09 July. ANSF personnel arrested 11 OAG me=
mbers and recovered one stolen Humvee vehicle.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">OAG members abducted four PGM members. =
Their whereabouts remained unknown at the time of writing.&nbsp;<br /><br /=
