:</strong> At around 2200 hrs last night, over 150 ANSF members launched an=
 operation targeting OAG positions in the Zaman Khail area with AAF support=
. The government troops took control of the area roughly one hour later whe=
n OAG members withdrew. AAF conducted at least two airstrikes, killing thre=
e OAG members.<br /><br />At 1700 hrs yesterday, ANSF fired at least two mo=
rtar rounds from Toop Khan Mountain towards OAG positions in Zaman Khail. A=
t least one mortar round impacted in a residential area, killing two civili=
ans and wounding two more.<br /><br />The main roads connecting Pul-e Khumr=
i City with Kunduz, Mazar-e Sharif, and Kabul are open to traffic. Still, t=
he risk of collateral damage if travelling through these routes is assessed=
 to be high.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.</div>

g> Heavy fighting is still ongoing between ANSF and OAG members with SAF an=
d RPGs in the Wazir Abad area, along the Pul-e Khumri-Aybak Road.<br /><br =
/>At approximately 1700 hrs yesterday, an estimated 50 ANSF members withdre=
w from the ANP compound in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/5Geevdfxq1MNV=
v966">Khwaja Alwan</a> area of Pul-e Khumri District, on the road to Aybak,=
 along with their weapons, ammunition, vehicles, and other assets. The gove=
rnment troops proceeded to Samangan Province and OAG members took control o=
f the compound.<br /><br />At around 2000 hrs yesterday, ANSF fired at leas=
t two artillery rounds from Semet Khana Mountain towards OAG positions in t=
he Wazir Abad area. At least one artillery round impacted on a private resi=
dence, killing one civilian (child) and wounding another one.<br /><br />In=
 addition to the casualty figures previously reported, four ANSF members we=
re wounded and one OAG member was killed.<br /><br />The main roads connect=
ing Pul-e Khumri City with Kunduz and Kabul are open to traffic. Still, the=
 risk of collateral damage if travelling through these routes is assessed t=
o be high. The Pul-e Khumri-Aybak Road is closed to civilian traffic due to=
 the ongoing armed clash.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 23 June, 1130 hrs:</stron=
g> Since approximately 1030 hrs today, ANSF and OAG members are sporadicall=
y exchanging SAF and RPGs in the Zaman Khail area, as well as in the <a hre=
f=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/V8ashdyRqTHGE6Go7">Wazir Abad</a> area of PD 1, in=
 the proximity of the Pul-e Khumri-Aybak Road.<br /><br />Yesterday, at app=
roximately 1230 hrs, OAG members attacked an ANSF base located in the <a hr=
ef=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/j2EFvATDEHxk9mG66">Baghlan-e Shamal</a> area of P=
ul-e Khumri District with SAF and RPGs. After a brief firefight, government=
 troops withdrew from the base along with their weapons, ammunition, vehicl=
es, and other assets, with the armed opposition taking control of the compo=
und.<br /><br />At around the same time, ANSF members made a tactical withd=
rawal from a checkpoint in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/zG73zc746Zrc4=
M6X6">Qurghan Tepa</a> area. OAG members took control of the area.<br /><br=
 />As a result of the OAG attack and the ANSF response in the Zaman Khail a=
rea yesterday, three OAG members were killed and three others were wounded.=
 AAF was monitoring the security situation in Pul-e Khumri City and surroun=
ding areas and, at around 1230 hrs, conducted at least three airstrikes tar=
geting OAG positions. The airstrikes impacted in an open area.<br /><br />N=
o further casualties have been reported.<br /><br />The main roads connecti=
ng Pul-e Khumri City with Kunduz, Mazar-e Sharif, and Kabul are open to tra=
ffic. Still, the risk of collateral damage if travelling through these rout=
es is assessed to be high. OAG members had reportedly partially damaged the=
 Wazir Abad bridge located along the road to Mazar-e Sharif at around 0700 =
hrs yesterday, however, public authorities fixed the structure in the morni=
ng today.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 22 June, 1400 hrs:</stron=
g> An estimatded 50 ANSF and PGM members were deployed from Pul-e Khumri Ci=
ty to the area and forced OAG members to withdraw. The armed opposition res=
ponded and a brief armed clash erupted.<br /><br />Casualties have been rep=
orted, however, figures remain unknown as of the time of writing.<br /><br =
/>The Kunduz-Pul-e Khumri Road remains open to traffic, however, the risk o=
f collateral damage if travelling through this route is assessed to be high=
.<br /><br />NGOs are advised to avoid the area and adjust movements until =
further notice.<br /><br />NGOs are further recommended to ensure that comm=
unication and reporting channels with their staff remain operational.<br />=
<br />NGOs are also encouraged to closely monitor conflict activity in Bagh=
lan and neighbouring provinces for the time being.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 22 June, 1115 hrs:</stron=
g> ASNF members tactically withdrew from the checkpoint towards Pul-e Khumr=
i centre, allowing OAGs to overrun the outpost. At the time of writing, it =
is unclear whether ANSF will attempt to retake the outpost.<br /><br />Due =
to the risk of further armed clashes, the previous advisory remains in plac=
e.</div>
