:</strong> Since approximately 1030 hrs today, ANSF and OAG members are spo=
radically exchanging SAF and RPGs in the Zaman Khail area, as well as in th=
e <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/V8ashdyRqTHGE6Go7">Wazir Abad</a> area of =
PD 1, in the proximity of the Pul-e Khumri-Aybak Road.<br /><br />Yesterday=
, at approximately 1230 hrs, OAG members attacked an ANSF base located in t=
he <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/j2EFvATDEHxk9mG66">Baghlan-e Shamal</a> a=
rea of Pul-e Khumri District with SAF and RPGs. After a brief firefight, go=
vernment troops withdrew from the base along with their weapons, ammunition=
, vehicles, and other assets, with the armed opposition taking control of t=
he compound.<br /><br />At around the same time, ANSF members made a tactic=
al withdrawal from a checkpoint in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/zG73z=
c746Zrc4M6X6">Qurghan Tepa</a> area. OAG members took control of the area.<=
br /><br />As a result of the OAG attack and the ANSF response in the Zaman=
 Khail area yesterday, three OAG members were killed and three others were =
wounded. AAF was monitoring the security situation in Pul-e Khumri City and=
 surrounding areas and, at around 1230 hrs, conducted at least three airstr=
ikes targeting OAG positions. The airstrikes impacted in an open area.<br /=
><br />No further casualties have been reported.<br /><br />The main roads =
connecting Pul-e Khumri City with Kunduz, Mazar-e Sharif, and Kabul are ope=
n to traffic. Still, the risk of collateral damage if travelling through th=
ese routes is assessed to be high. OAG members had reportedly partially dam=
aged the Wazir Abad bridge located along the road to Mazar-e Sharif at arou=
nd 0700 hrs yesterday, however, public authorities fixed the structure in t=
he morning today.</div>								</div>

:</strong> An estimatded 50 ANSF and PGM members were deployed from Pul-e K=
humri City to the area and forced OAG members to withdraw. The armed opposi=
tion responded and a brief armed clash erupted.<br /><br />Casualties have =
been reported, however, figures remain unknown as of the time of writing.<b=
r /><br />The Kunduz-Pul-e Khumri Road remains open to traffic, however, th=
e risk of collateral damage if travelling through this route is assessed to=
 be high.<br /><br />NGOs are advised to avoid the area and adjust movement=
s until further notice.<br /><br />NGOs are further recommended to ensure t=
hat communication and reporting channels with their staff remain operationa=
l.<br /><br />NGOs are also encouraged to closely monitor conflict activity=
 in Baghlan and neighbouring provinces for the time being.</div>

g> ASNF members tactically withdrew from the checkpoint towards Pul-e Khumr=
i centre, allowing OAGs to overrun the outpost. At the time of writing, it =
is unclear whether ANSF will attempt to retake the outpost.<br /><br />Due =
to the risk of further armed clashes, the previous advisory remains in plac=
e.</div>
