pen to traffic, however, the risk of collateral damage if travelling throug=

:</strong> OAG members attacked multiple ANSF positions in the Baghlan-e Ja=
did DAC area with SAF and RPGs. ANSF members responded and an armed clash i=
s ongoing.<br /><br />The Pul-e Khumri-Kunduz Road is closed to civilian tr=
affic.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in place.<br /><br />In add=
ition, NGOs with staff present in the area are recommended to initiate head=
count procedures and advise their staff to remain indoors, away from window=
s, and consider to seek shelter inside safe rooms or hardened structures.<b=
r /><br />NGOs are further advised to ensure that communication and reporti=
ng channels with their staff remain operational.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 19 June, 1230 hrs:</stron=
g> OAG members took control of the Fabrika Qand, Salam Khail, and Tara Khai=
l areas at around 1100 hrs today after having attacked an ANP base and furt=
her ANSF/PGM positions. The armed opposition reportedly captured a number o=
f ANSF and PGM members along with their weapons.<br /><br />The ANSF operat=
ion had concluded on 16 June, with the team forcing OAG members to withdraw=
 and then returning to Pul-e Khumri City. Local ANSF and PGM members, led b=
y a mid-level commander known as Mirwais, retained the control of the area =
until today. The pro-government forces had also gained control of the Salam=
 Khail and Tara Khail areas of Baghlan-e Jadid District.<br /><br />Local e=
lders have reportedly mediated and convinced ANSF and PGM members to abando=
n their positions in order to avoid conflict escalation.<br /><br />No furt=
her casualties have been reported.<br /><br />The Pul-e Khumri-Kunduz Road =
remains open to traffic. Nevertheless, OAG members established a checkpoint=
 in the Fabrika Qand area, and the risk of collateral damage if travelling =
through this route remains high.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains i=
n place.</div>

g> The ANSF operation is still ongoing in the Fabrika Qand area. OAG member=
s in the area engaged the government troops yesterday with SAF and RPGs. Bo=
th actors are still exchanging fire.<br /><br />AAF is monitoring the secur=
ity situation by air and, at around 1700 hrs yesterday, conducted at least =
two airstrikes targeting OAG positions.<br /><br />One ANA member has been =
killed and two PGM members have been wounded. Two OAG members have been kil=
led and three more wounded.<br /><br />The Pul-e Khumri-Kunduz Road remains=
 open to traffic, however, the risk of collateral damage if travelling thro=
ugh this route is assessed to be high.<br /><br />The previous advisory rem=
ains in place.</div>

g> At the above time and location, ANSF is conducting a clearing operation =
to push out OAGs from the area.&nbsp;<br /><br />No armed clashes have been=
 reported yet and the operation is currently not affecting the Kunduz-Pul-e=
 Khumri Road. However, armed clashes are likely to occur and could potentia=
lly affect the road.<br /><br />NGOs are advised to avoid the area, includi=
ng the title section of the Kunduz-Pul-e Khumri Road, and adjust movements =
accordingly.</div>								</div>
