 </strong>OAGs remain in control of the DAC. Shortly after capturing the DA=
C, OAGs abducted 48 ANSF members. At approximately 1000 hrs today, OAGs rel=
eased 20 ANSF captives. OAGs released the captives after they agreed to ret=
urn home and not re-join the ANSF. At the time of writing, 28 ANSF members =
remain in OAG captivity.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">In the evening of 21 May, ANSF attempte=
d to dispatch a task group of 150 ANSF members from Maydanshahr District to=
 retake Jalrez DAC. The task group aborted the mission due to IED contamina=
tion along the Kabul-Bamyan Highway (through Jalrez District). Meanwhile, A=
AF has conducted a series of airstrikes over the past 24 hours targeting OA=
G positions within the DAC; at the time of writing, no accurate casualty fi=
gures are available.<br /><br />ANSF are expected to continue their campaig=
n of airstrikes within and surrounding the DAC. Also, further armed clashes=
 in the title area can not be ruled out, as ANSF attempt to retake the DAC.=
<br /><br /></div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 21 May, 1030 hrs:</strong=
> OAGs overran the DAC and commenced looting ANSF equipment and supplies. T=
he fall of the DAC comes after a night of continued fighting, with AAF cond=
ucting an airstrike in the evening of 20 May, killing six OAG members and w=
ounding five others. In addition, OAGs killed three ANSF members in overnig=
ht clashes.&nbsp;<br /><br />At the time of writing, it is unclear whether =
ANSF will deploy reinforcements to the area to regain control of the DAC.</=
div>
<br />The previous advisory remains in place.&nbsp;<br /><br />
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 20 May, 1015 hrs:</strong=
> The armed clash is still ongoing, with sporadic SAF reported from both si=
des. OAG members are engaging ANSF from positions around the area, and ANSF=
 are responding from the ANP HQ and surrounding outposts.&nbsp;<br /><br />=

ith sporadic SAF reported from both sides throughout.&nbsp;<br /><br /></di=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">As a result of the armed clash, two ANS=
F members have been killed and one wounded, four civilians have been killed=
 in the crossfire, and one OAG member has been killed in the fighting.&nbsp=
;<br /><br />AAF support has reportedly been allocated to support ANSF in t=
he area, but no airstrike or ground support has yet been reported from the =
area.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">The previous advisory still stands.<br =

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Furthermore, NGOs are advised to closel=
y monitor the situation in the area and surrounding areas through local sou=
rces.</div>

At the time and location noted above, approximately 100-150 OAG members att=
acked the ANP HQ and the DAC in a coordinated attack, using SAF. ANSF respo=
nded to the attack, and an armed clash is currently ongoing.</p>
