g> Negotiations between representatives from the protesters and the GOA del=
egation were ongoing during the day and concluded at approximately 1600 hrs=
, without reaching an agreement. Negotiations are expected to resume tomorr=
ow morning.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>

s sustained on 08 June, bringing the total to six killed.&nbsp;<br /><br />=

g> Approximately 2,000 protester were reported in front of the PG office to=
day. The protest remained peaceful throughout the day.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br=

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">The GOA negotiations team conducted mee=
tings with representatives from the protesters during the day, in an attemp=
t to find a solution to the prolonged protest. The meetings were ongoing un=
til 1900 hours, without arriving at a solution. Negotiations are expected t=
o continue on 12 June, from the morning hours.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Of the 43 protesters wounded on 08 June=
, two died today as a result of their wounds, increasing the total to six k=
illed.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>

g> Approximately 200-300 protesters remains in place in front of the PG Off=
ice.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Protesters warned the central governmen=
t that they will not cease their protests until their demands are met. The =
demands are as follows:</div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">1) Dismissal of the PG and COP along wi=
th other members of the security sector.</div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">2) prosecution of the perpetrators resp=
onsible for killing the protesters.</div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">3) Ensuring the security of citizens an=
d access to clean drinking water and electricity.&nbsp;</div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><br />A high profile GOA delegation arr=
ived in Fayzabad City to find a solution to the current situation.&nbsp;<br=
 /><br />Casualty figures remain unchanged since yesterday, with no reporte=
d violence today.<br /><br /></div>

g> The protesters have remained in front of the PG Office since yesterday. =
Earlier this morning, an estimated 3000 people gathered near the PG Compoun=
d, blocking all connecting roads between the old and the new city.&nbsp;<br=
 /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Casualty figures remain unchanged since=
 yesterday, with no reported violence today.&nbsp;<br /><br /></div>

g> The protesters erected a tent in front of the PG Office and blocked the =
road connecting the PG Compound with the main road.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">Protest leaders demand from the provinc=
ial government to hand over the ANP members who were firing their weapons o=
n the protesters instead of warning shots into the air. A prominent local P=
GM commander also joined the protest.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">The situation is unlikely to de-escalat=
e tomorrow, potentially deteriorating further.</div>

g> The protesters fully surrounded the Provincial Governor's Compound, sett=
ing fire to several vehicles belonging to the employees of the provincial F=
inance Department parked outside the compound.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">At least four people have been killed a=
nd 43 protesters have been injured as of the time of this update.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 08 June, 1130 hrs:</stron=
g> The situation continues to escalate. The protesters started a fire near =
the entrance gate to the Provincial Governor's Office Compound, before brea=
ching the gate. As many as 12 people have been injured so far and at least =
one has been killed.</div>

g> The situation escalated further, with three of the protesters wounded as=
 a result of ANP firing warning shots when some of the protesters approache=
