</strong> No further firefight has been reported in Baghlan-e Jadid DAC, wh=
ich remains under ANSF control, and the Shahr-e Kohna area, under control o=
f OAG members. There is still potential for further armed clashes.<br /><br=
 />AAF was monitoring the security situation by air until last night. At ap=
proximately 1300 hrs yesterday, AAF conducted at least three airstrikes tar=
geting OAG positions in the <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/zRYNTFgAqx8YVZnV=
9">Ghulam Bay</a> and <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/iQrT4hdedGqPmbAx5">Tar=
a Khail</a> areas of Baghlan-e Jadid District.<br /><br />No further casual=
ties have been reported.<br /><br />Lastly, OAG members collapsed their che=
ckpoint in the Hussain Khail area of Pul-e Khumri District and wtihdrew fro=
m the area at around 1830 hrs yesterday.<br /><br />The previous advisory r=
emains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 07 May, 1130 hrs:</strong=
> The firefight concluded early in the morning today, at around 0400 hrs, w=
ith OAG members withdrawing from Baghlan-e Jadid DAC. There is still potent=
ial for further armed clashes.<br /><br />Approximately one hour before the=
 OAG withdrawal, at 0300 hrs, an estimated 50 ANSF reinforcements (NDS 01 U=
nit) had been deployed from Kabul to Baghlan-e Jadid DAC.<br /><br />In add=
ition to the casualty figures previosuly reported, two ANSF members have be=
en wounded, and eight OAG members have been killed and 17 others wounded.<b=
r /><br />The Pul-e Khumri-Kunduz Road is now open to civilian traffic. Nev=
ertheless, OAG members are still operating a checkpoint in the Hussain Khai=
l area of Pul-e Khumri District.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains i=
n place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 06 May, 1945 hrs:</strong=
> A sporadic exchange of SAF is still ongoing in the Baghlan-e Jadid DAC ar=
ea. Local PGM members, led by a mid-level commander known as Amir Gul, have=
 engaged in fighting the armed opposition.<br /><br />At around 1730 hrs, a=
n estimated 60 ANA Commandos were deployed from Mazar-e Sharif City to Bagh=
lan-e Jadid DAC. The government troops had been ambushed by OAG members in =
the Shinwari Ha area of Pul-e Khumri District at approximately 1600 hrs (AF=
GHANISTAN/NORTHEAST/A/06052021/#003-U1). When they reached Pul-e Khumri Cit=
y, the ANA team took an alternative road to reach Baghlan-e Jadid DAC via t=
he <a href=3D"https://goo.gl/maps/gEvbLS3c9kMnosKMA">Kar Kar</a> area of Pu=
l-e Khumri District. With this decision, the ANA reinforcements avoided a m=
ilitary engagement with OAG members operating a checkpoint on the Pul-e Khu=
mri-Kunduz Road, in the Hussain Khail area (AFGHANISTAN/NORTHEAST/A/0505202=
1/#001).</div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><br />AAF is still monitoring the secur=
ity situation in the area by air.<br /><br />Three ANSF members have been k=
illed and two others wounded. Four OAG members have been killed.<br /><br /=
>The Pul-e Khumri-Kunduz Road remains closed to civilian traffic. Neverthel=
ess, small vehicles are taking an alternative road crossing Baghlan-e Jadid=
 District. The above-mentioned OAG checkpoint in the Hussain Khail area rem=
ains in place.<br /><br />Private telecommunication network providers have =
interrupted their service in Baghlan-e Jadid District in the evening hours&=
mdash;as has been the case over the past years, with the government-owned S=
alaam as the only phone network operating at night-time.<br /><br />The pre=
vious advisory remains in place.</div>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;"><strong>As of 06 May, 1300 hrs:</strong=
> OAG members advanced from Shahr-e Kohna to the<a href=3D"https://goo.gl/m=
aps/unA4P6dUeadSJN7N9"> Baghlan-e Jadid DAC</a> area at around 1230 hrs. An=
 armed clash is ongoing between OAG and ANSF members with SAF.<br /><br />A=
AF is still monitoring the security situation in the area by air.<br /><br =
/>No casualties have been reported.<br /><br />The Pul-e Khumri-Kunduz Road=
 remains closed to traffic.<br /><br />The previous advisory remains in pla=
ce.</div>

il area of Pul-e Khumri District, where they established a checkpoint searc=
hing passing private vehicles for ANSF/GOA personnel at approximately 1630 =

At the time noted above, OAG members attacked an ANSF checkpoint located ro=
ughly 5 km north from the Baghlan-e Jadid DAC area using SAF and RPGs. ANSF=
 responded and an armed clash is ongoing.</p>

<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGOs are advised to avoid the area and =
adjust movements until further notice.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGOs with staff present in the area are=
 recommended to initiate headcount procedures and advise their staff to rem=
ain indoors, away from windows, and consider to seek shelter inside safe ro=
oms or hardened structures.<br /><br /></div>
<div style=3D"text-align: justify;">NGOs are further advised to closely mon=
itor conflict activity in Baghlan Province for the time being.</div>							=
