Dear Social Pioneers=2C Civil Society Leaders=2C and Innovators!

This time=2C we would like to share with you more about our own story and=
 journey of organizational development=2C and the ideas and tools that hav=
e inspired us.

As a team at Civil Society Academy=2C we have realized that only autonomy=
=2C agility=2C and purpose-alignment for everybody within the team could e=
nable us to move towards the achievement of our mission =E2=80=93 make soc=
ial justice happen. Therefore=2C since 2016 we found in Holacracy a practi=
cal solution to support this idea which we immediately implemented.

Holacracy is a new way of structuring and running an organization that rep=
laces the conventional management hierarchy. Instead of operating top-down=
=2C power is distributed throughout the organization =E2=80=93 giving indi=
viduals and teams more freedom=2C while staying aligned to the organizatio=
n=E2=80=99s purpose. We believe that to change the world=2C we first need=
 to begin with ourselves and Holacracy appeared to be of great use.

To make Holacracy work=2C we are using such tools as Holaspirit and Miro (=
description below) for our daily work. We hope that we can inspire you to=
 adopt more agility in your own work and life!

Holaspirit

To coordinate the interactions within our Civil Society Academy team=2C wh=
ich is working in parallel at the same time from different continents=2C w=
e are using Holaspirit.

Holaspirit is a platform=2C which is supposed to support our self-managed=
 organization and help to visualize the distribution of responsibilities a=
nd tasks within the team. It contributes to the distribution of the author=
ity throughout the organization=2C therefore=2C helping all of us to feel=
 quite autonomous and as a result quite confident. This platform enables u=
s being agile in action.

Civil Society has a General Circle=2C which include roles=2C responsible f=
or the functioning of Civil Society Academy as a whole. Within the General=
 Circle=2C we have two smaller circles. One circle is responsible for cust=
omize services and all the trainings=2C while other is ensuring the succes=
sful implementation of the tailor-made services.

Miro
To support the agile structure and the way of working in the organization=
 - new and innovative tools are needed. Hence=2C to coordinate the working=
 processes effectively in real time our team is using an online collaborat=
ive whiteboard platform - Miro.

It is used both for internal work - where=2C we develop strategies=2C brai=
nstorming=2C solving conflicts and dreaming together with the help of digi=
tal canvas and sticky notes. It enables us to make some of our online trai=
nings much more vibrant and exciting.

 and journey of organizational development=2C and the ideas and tools that=

As a team at&nbsp;<strong>Civil Society Academy</strong>=2C we have realiz=
ed that only autonomy=2C agility=2C and purpose-alignment for everybody wi=
thin the team could enable us to move towards the achievement of our missi=
on =E2=80=93 make social justice happen. Therefore=2C since 2016 we found=
 in Holacracy a&nbsp;practical solution to support this idea which we imme=
diately implemented.<br>

<strong>&nbsp;Holacracy </strong>is&nbsp;a new way of structuring and runn=
ing an organization that replaces the conventional management hierarchy. I=
nstead of operating top-down=2C power is distributed throughout the organi=
zation =E2=80=93 giving individuals and teams more freedom=2C while stayin=
g aligned to the organization=E2=80=99s purpose. We believe that to change=
 the world=2C we first need to begin with ourselves and Holacracy appeared=
 to be of great use.</span></span><br>
