Dear Nutrition Cluster Colleagues:

I would like to share the MoPH/GCMU=92s Risk Mitigation Approach for IMAM S=
ervices during COVID-19 Situation for your action.

This Risk Mitigation Approach for IMAM Services during COVID-19 Situation w=
as already sent out to BPHS/EPHS Implementing Partners by MoPH/GCMU.

=93 Recognizing that operational contexts everywhere are changing rapidly d=
ue to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Public Nutrition Directorate (PND) of MoPH=
 in consultation with UNICEF and WFP who are technically and logistically s=
upporting OPD-SAM and OPD-MAM components of IMAM agreed to apply a temporar=
y change in the delivery of OPD-SAM/ MAM services in all provinces to be ab=
le to continue services during the COVID-19 situation in a way that best en=
sures the safety of beneficiaries, health workers and communities.

The change outlined below will only apply to the follow-up timeframe of OPD=
-SAM/ MAM beneficiaries in-order to minimize the risk of transmission of CO=
VID-19, temporary until further notice =96 depends on the magnitude of COVI=
D-19:

*   OPD-SAM: Beneficiary follow up visits changed from a weekly basis to =
every 15 days.
  *   OPD-MAM:
     *   For Children: Beneficiary follow up visits changed from bi-weekly =
to monthly.
     *   For PLW: No change will apply. PLW visits will continue regularly =
on a monthly basis.=94

Please do note that all the aspects of the protocol for OPD-SAM/ MAM will r=
emain the same as they were. As mentioned, the change will only apply to th=
e frequency of visits of beneficiaries.
